Excellent service and facilities with room cleanliness outstanding
On site car parking is a nightmare due to extremely difficult access. Access from the front of the Hotel was apparently discontinued last year but it would have been much easier!
Town centre location
Car park was difficult to find and access, It was annoying that directions and instructions/map were not available in advance .
Very welcoming and helpful. Little touches in the bedroom such as the radio which was on when we arrived. Excellent food
There was nothing we didn't like
Old stylecharacter
Noisy extractor on the roof during the day, but turned off during the night
Room and food excellent
No lift
The checking in and the restaurant were very good. The staff were helpfull. The hotel was centrally situated. Full of old world charm.
Poor access to limited car park.
In town centre
the soft furnishings and the toiletries. It was also good to be able to get Netflix on the room tv
I was a lone, middle-aged female traveller - and that's exactly how I felt I was treated. Rather invisible and pretty unimportant. For instance, the hotel receptionist seemed utterly disinterested (e.g. when I had a problem with my suitcase, needed to know about parking, enquired about local sights, asked questions about the hotel itself, etc). Ditto the waitress when I complained about the meal I was served in the restaurant ( burnt pie - which I mostly ate because I was starving. I didn't want my money back but a recognition somehow, somewhere, from someone that the food wasn't up to scratch would have been nice). Not a very friendly place.
O pequeno almoço era extraordinário
O quarto era virado para as traseiras
The Feathers isn’t normally the type of hotel I would use, olde worldly is not for me normally, our room was spacious, comfortable and had excellent facilities, however it is a bit of an obstacle course to get to your room, part of the place’s appeal to some is the uneven floors. We only had one snack in the hotel, we thought the bar prices were reasonable, the coffee shop was excellent, the lounge at the front of the building was very nice. I enjoyed the challenges of the car park, not for the faint heated but a very useful facility - don’t bring a hummer!
The best part of the hotel were the staff, they were very friendly and helpful
