We were very disappointed in the breakfast.
Breakfast & bathrooms
The craftsmanship and age of the building. The front porch we had basically to ourselves every night. The beds were comfortable. Room 9 is a good value.
The bathtub was high to get in and out of in along with a low mirror in the bathroom #9. Steps are a challenge to the 3rd floor if not use to it.
Charming and historic. Very convenient to Biltmore and downtown.
Property in need of repairs.
Coffee was fabulous. Breakfast buffet was good.
The location was excellent—very convenient and accessible to everything. The house itself was beautiful, and the bedroom was clean, spacious, and comfortable.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing because the AC was not working for the entire three days we stayed. My husband and I booked this trip as a weekend getaway to relax and take a break from work, but we weren’t able to rest properly because the room was so uncomfortable without AC.
We reached out to the front desk and spoke with them about the issue, but unfortunately, they were unable to fix it. What was most disappointing was that they didn’t offer us any other options, such as transferring us to another room. Instead, they provided us with two portable electric fans. We considered moving to another hotel, but given the hassle and the possibility of affecting our plans and itinerary, we decided to stay.
The breakfast was also not what we expected. Since this is a bed-and-breakfast setup, I was hoping for a more personalized breakfast experience, but it felt more basic than expected.
The management eventually offered us a one-day refund, which we appreciated, but honestly, we still went home feeling tired and lacking sleep after the three-day stay.
Despite the issues, we still tried to make the most of our trip and enjoyed Asheville—the food, shopping, and even a night out at a rooftop bar. Asheville itself was wonderful, but unfortunately, the accommodation experience took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway.
Loved the location and the staff were excellent. John went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
The home is like a storybook home. Surround by mature trees, lovely stained glass, and feels warm and inviting. The staff are welcoming and you feel at home the minute you arrive. The beds are very comfortable and it’s nice and quiet. Breakfast on the porch was lovely and you simply slow down and enjoy your day.

Beautiful place. Very comfy beds well lit rooms
Nothing it was wonderful. Highly recommend
Lovely property; friendly and accommodating staff; delicious breakfast; comfortable room; close to what we needed; and outstanding pre-arrival communication
Nothing
Historic, well maintained, good location. Lovely large veranda. Butler’s pantry with fridge, ice and utensils supports bringing in snacks and wine
Used to make prepared breakfast. Continental buffet only now. Bed a little soft and probably only a full size
My stay at Cedar Crest Inn in Asheville truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the inn felt warm, peaceful, and incredibly welcoming.
The property itself is beautiful. It's a charming historic inn with so much character, tucked in a great location near Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate. My room was comfortable, quiet, and thoughtfully prepared, and the entire place had that rare combination of elegance, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
What stood out most was the kindness and care from the staff, especially Kristy, who went out of her way to help me when my travel plans unexpectedly changed. She handled a stressful situation with such grace and thoughtfulness, and it made a real difference during a hard weekend.
I would highly recommend Cedar Crest Inn to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming bed and breakfast in Asheville. It was a special stay, and I would absolutely return.
beautiful old house
bathroom needs upgrading
Beautiful accommodations at a terrific price. Ideal for an anniversary getaway!!
Such a cool place! Beautiful and great location.
Breakfast wasn’t worth it. No eggs, meat etc. just bagels yogurt and hard boiled eggs.
Such a lovely stay for one night in Asheville. The bed was very comfortable and the house felt very private despite us not being the only guests there. The fireplace in the lobby made our stay extra cozy, so much so that we wished we had planned for an extra night during our travels! The staff were also wonderful and made us feel truly welcomed. If we ever come back to Asheville we would certainly book this again.
