It was an unexpected gem, tucked away in a wee village with welcoming owner and staff. Garden room was lovely inside, huge comfy bed, lit thoughtfully with coloured festoon lights. Dinner was tasty. The packed continental breakfast on the first day was much appreciated as it was served from 0800 (too late for my working day).
The outside of the garden room needs sweeping and clearing of cobwebs and debris - would have sat outside but it looked abandoned. A man walked his dog right up on the decking in the morning which made me feel vulnerable as a solo traveller (a sign may be required at the start of last the footpath that only leads to the garden room
to respect guest privacy). Breakfast was forgotten day 2. Shower flooded entire bathroom (reported on checkout) which accounted for scum marks on the floor on arrival.
Wonderful property in the most beautiful and relaxing surroundings.
Friendly bar staff upon arrival.
Continental breakfast was a little lacking. No bread or toast. Terrible coffee!
Room was very nice, comfortable bed, good sized wardrobe, good sized TV
Good included breakfast - Continental breakfast in a different style
Scary local instructions for Aircon
Mixed confusing branding on TV (the hotel has clearly had a rebrand recently)
Narrow bathroom and leaking shower (shower head had missing nozzles)
Special little hotel, with lovely facilities, pool area and outdoor seating area for eating and drinking are lovely. Room although small had everything we needed including air conditioning which was very welcome during the two nights of our stay.
Our shower room window faced the pool area, although had opaque glass, would have felt more comfortable with a small extra covering/blind.
Beautiful area, clean rooms, friendly, knowledgeable staff, amazing pool area and food!
Only negative was the restriction to using the pool on checkout day (only to 12).
Location, room,Staff, food and drinks.
A lovely place that I would return to. The breakfast continental was lovely. The setting was amazing.
Please visit here!
The weather !
Great hotel, loved the setting & the pool & the food in the evening was excellent
Nothing
Overall good. Friendly and helpful staff.
Room location ideal as we had a dog with us.
Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Dinner was delicious. The room was large and the bathroom huge. Even A/C in the room. Definitely on our list for a revisit
A challenge to get there as the roads are very narrow
Restaurant excellent.
Shower didn't work properly and tan randomly in the night!
Breakfast choice - good. Friendly and helpful staff.
The room was the dog friendly room for three of us. The sofa bed took a lot of space up and it did make it a little difficult to get around. That was probably the only negative. The weekend breakfast which is cooked by a chef was fab. So on the weekdays where it is just continental breakfast was a bit disappointing. How wrong I was it was lovely. and plentiful. Granola fruit and yogurt, cheese ,ham, croissant, toast and pastries, choice of tea or coffee and fresh juice or water too and to be fair you can add a bacon or sausage sandwich at an extra cost. We really enjoyed it. All the staff we met were friendly, professional and courteous. The hotel is set in a quaint little village and the surroundings are really pretty. It would be a lovely setting in the summer months when you could sit outside in the gardens. Thank you for a welcome stay
I didn't realise I could have asked for the swimming pool to be opened and they would willingly have obliged
Everything 👍🙏
We had the evening meal on both days and it was really delicious and beautifully presented. The grounds are well kept and attractive, the location is quiet and there are plenty of footpaths on the doorstep. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed. The swimming pool is quite small but fine for two people.
Shower leaked onto the bathroom floor
Cozy
We had to leave ;)
