Palazzo Paolina Boutique Hotel

This hotel was wonderfully situated in the city, friendly, helpful, great breakfasts, comfortable rooms. Valetta was also an excellent choice for a stay.

What a fabulous boutique hotel the Palazzo Paolina is located on St. Paul’s street perfectly positioned just off Merchant Street(near to the best Gelato in Valletta) and only 10 minutes walk to the Malta Experience ( a good pick up for out of city tours) and the City gates.
The rooms are comfortable, a good size - ours had a small balcony as well - and the bathroom was well equipped with great shower water pressure. Bottled water was provided everyday and the room had a coffee machine and kettle.
Breakfast buffet was available daily and provided hot and cold dishes. It catered to practically every taste.
The staff are very friendly and very helpful - nothing was too much. Overall a gem of a hotel in a great location. Will certainly visit again.
A gem of a hotel in Valletta

We were very happy with our booking at the Palazzo Paolina in Valletta. We had three rooms for a group of six friends.
Pluses:

9 hangers in wardrobe
Safe in room (no charge)
Good air con (not in bathroom)
Very old historic building
Central position
Breakfast included - excellent choice of different foods.
A free bottle of water each every day
Bathroom has toiletries and hairdryer
Quiet hotel
Coffee machine and kettle plus tea, coffee etc
Really friendly staff
Minuses:
Could do with another couple of hooks in the bathroom for hand towels.

Great location for walking to all of the interesting sights. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our inquiries. Valletta is a charming old town with lots of good food and sights.

I would score higher if I could absolutely lovely hotel clean rooms, friendly staff who are very very accommodating.
Our room was spotless.. and the roomwas completely quiet and the breakfast was delicious.
Fantastic position central to everything.

My wife and I were on the 4th floor where there is a frosted glass landing outside the elevator by the door. Those of a nervous disposition, though, should not be put off. The bathroom was very large and clean, with the shower (having both an handle held and overhead shower head) being very enjoyable. The room facilities included a small fridge and tea making facilities, as well as easily controllable air conditioning and (we visited in August) 2 complementary bottles of water daily. The street outside the hotel was being used for ongoing work and deliveries for nearby buildings so wasn't what you might call picturesque. This by no means detracted from the hotel though, as a few steps either way once outside the hotel, provided access to side streets leading towards the town centre. Once of the bets things about the hotel as the fact that it was perfectly quiet and we were able to sleep soundly every night. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and assisted in arranging a taxi form the airport on arrival. On departure we took one of the excellent bus services. The Breakfast was a small but perfectly formed buffet served in the atmospheric basement. All-in-all a very pleasant and highly recommended hotel. Thank you

Hotel is right in the heart of Valetta with all the history, culture, shopping and nightlife within walking distance. Quiet and peaceful at night, a real gem.

This has great location and the staff are exceptional. The rooms are nice and have air conditioning, which is an important benefit during the summer.

It was in a great location for the Theatre as it was a late ending show.

Oh please note that you are looking for a double door, not much signage, as we walked past it twice.

Great location kind staff

Expected " Presidential Suite " with sun terrace. Don't think Trump or Macron would stay here. Double room with double bed and a double bed/ sofa and a reasonable sized bathroom. Supposedly to cater for four people. Only enough wardrobe space for one person. No cupboards, drawers or shelves for personal items like makeup, toiletries, shaving gear, medication etc. It appears that the exclusive terrace, which has four good sun chairs, table , two sun loungers and a four person hot tub is the obvious selling point. Personal items as mention before were distributed all around accommodation on window sills, the floor and even open suitcases were used as storage. How four people could share this room with showering, changing etc, without compromising their privacy is beyond me. I booked and paid for this " suite " based on the photos and description on Booking.com's website. In my opinion a "suite" does not constitute a bed/sofa at the end of the clients double bed. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

This hotel is in the centre of Valletta and within walking distance of all the beautiful places to visit there. The hotel is in a quiet but central road, a historic house with a lot of local charm. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A comfy, small hotel on a quiet street, centrally placed for easy walks to places of interest. Small room but inevitably so as renovated old building, personal service very good, everyone helpful and genuinely wanting to make the stay enjoyable. Good to have a proper coffee making machine in the room, wi-fi good but occasionally the TV feed would drop off due to buffering.

A delightful place to stay - will be my choice again if I revisit the city.

We loved this hotel, super clean and super friendly staff who were very helpful. The breakfast was delucious, plenty of choice.
Our room was small but we had everything we needed, with the exception of more storage space! We did feel that if the bed had been smaller, there would have been more space for maybe some drawers.

Hotel was in a very convenient part of the city, walkable to most places.

The staff were excellent, so helpful & friendly.

We would certainly return.
