Pros:

They took the booking and confirmed
They never answered their phones or email
When i arrived the hotel was under refurbishment, locked down, blacked out with nobody there. I banged on the door = no answer. So I stood there on my own in the middle of the night with nowhere to go in a town where the hotels were fully booked

Het hotel was gesloten en werd verbouwd.

Cons:

De communicatie. Ik had het hotel al maanden geleden geboekt maar werd niet geïnformeerd. het duurde twee uur voordat ik eindelijk iemand van booking aan de lijn kreeg. Heb extra kosten moeten maken om ander hotel te boeken.

Zimmer wurde bei Ankunft von Hotel storniert.

Cons:

Wir sind am Hotel angekommen. Tür verschlossen. Per Telefon niemand erreichbar. Ich sehe in meinen Mails nach und sehe dass mir das Hotel 10min vor meiner Ankunft mein Zimmer storniert hat. Es war 17 Uhr und nur noch ein Hotel hatte ein Zimmer frei. Wenn das Hotel gerade renoviert wird, wieso gibt man den Gästen nicht Bescheid, sondern storniert das Zimmer um 17 Uhr am Anreisetag?

Very unreliable hotel...We booked 3 months ahead only to have de Doelen cancel 2 weeks prior to our date even thought it had been confirmed by De Doelen 3 months earlier!!! ... they 'were very sorry for the inconvenience ' ... at such a late date we could not find alternate..
Do not trust a confirmed booking by them.

DE absolutamente nada, Chegamos na frente do hotel às 12 hs e estava fechado para obras. Não havia uma pessoa para nos ajudar. Perambulamos pela cidade procurando um lugar para ficar. Achamos um hotel só para uma noite, pois precisávamos para 3 noites. Com isso perdemos um tempo enorme procurando hotel. Será que ninguém sabia que o hotel estaria fechado? Por que o Booking continuou com reservas abertas mesmo ele fechado. Uma decepção enorme.

Ingen ting med denne bestillingen fungerte tilfredsstillende.
Cons:

Hotellet viste seg å være stengt, hvilket det også viste seg å ha vært på bestillingstidspunktet. Hvorfor visste ikke Booking.com om dette og ga beskjed?

Dette skapte store vansker for meg da det ikke var lett å finne alternativ overnatting. For den tredje natten fant jeg ingen, og jeg måtte reise hjem en dag før ved å kjøpr ny dyr flybillett. Dette er jo helt uakseptabelt.
