Nothing to write here
The rooms at the back where far better than those above or within the main building.
Been in the rooms above the bar.
Location was good for my needs.
I was woken at 4am by a bunch of drunk men who couldn't get the key to open their door, they were chatting in the corridor for what felt like hours. Floors and carpets were filthy, walls had holes in, obviously decorated recently, but to a very poor standard. No full length mirror, TV didn't work, bed was lumpy with poor quality pillows. Bathroom newish but again very poor, with badly fitted tiles and cheap fittings, nothing quite worked as it should, but the towels were lovely quality, but nowhere to hang them! Shower was made for a skinny 7'tall person with poor water pressure with an old bar of soap balanced on top of the empty soap dispensers. My room window was by the bins, where the empty bottles were disposed of very loudly at 8.30 on Sunday morning! Housekeeping waking you at 9.30am, just to see if you want anything! Also the pub garden was meters from the bedroom window, where customers were drinking beer at 10.00 am. The pub was very run down and dirty. Perfect for a stag weekend!
Friendly staff, this is old house-pub, converter to small hotel, have parking on the premises of the building. Overall, worth the money. Good for short stay, like two-three nights. I was on a business trip and booked the room for 1 night. It was ok.
They have a bar, but not food at all, and only drinks for consumption. The noise was a bit unpleasant at the beginning but after that was good. In the bathroom, the mirrow was too high and I coudn't use well the mirror. There was some issue with the TV, and could't watch TV. In the toilet- a bit of rust, which looked like a dirt, and it was still rust.
I was expecting it to be noisy but it was surprisingly quiet! We had a very comfortable night.
Nothing negative to comment on.

Friendly local run pub.
This is half a beautiful old coaching inn and half a more modern extension.
We were in the older part and liked the quirky period fireplaces in the corridors and the antique solid oak panelling.
OK there were a few minor issues of small areas of damaged plaster and peeling paint in places but nothing that spoilt our stay. The bathrooms were spotless, towels clean and fluffy, generous quantity of coffee/tea in the room, TV great.
The truely amazing thing about our stay was that: From the moment we set foot on the premesis the owner, bar maid, cleaning staff, kitchen staff and bar patrons could not have been more welcoming, helpful, friendly, and professional.
On the morning of departure the cleaning staff called at the room, NOT to give us the hurry up to vacate but to ask if we needed any extra tea/coffee or clean towels - I've not come across that before!
The only thing I didn't like was that we could not extend our stay as we had to go home to France.
