Shower in bathroom in room 255 was amazing

The room
Terrible , I think it was 251 . Right next to a corridor door , stairs and lift . The headboard was actually on the corridor wall .
No curtains just blinds that didn’t hold any light out . It’s almost like this room
Has been a store room
And made into bedroom , the bed was in completely wrong place . I booked a garden room , which looked nothing like a garden room , looked out over some chairs on a patio .
It’s the worse nights sleep we’ve had in a hotel , and the room wasn’t cheap either .
When people were talking outside the room
(Gathering at top of the stairs and opening the corridor door ) it sounded like they were actually in our bedroom !

Ate in the restaurant late afternoon Waiter was great, Food was great and menu price was fantastic fish and chips was exceptional.
Breakfast Waitress was lovely food again was exceptional.
No aircon so room was really hot but there was a large fan provided.

Staff were fab, amazing view right by the sea, restaurant is very good and has secure parking. Room was bright and airy, very clean, bathroom immaculate.
Not the hotels fault at all, but if you like peace, don't get a room with a sea view. There are hordes of 'boy racers' that have modified cars with massive exhausts that use Kingsway Road along the promenade as a drag strip until gone midnight, and seemingly do not get bored easily by racing up and down. If the council put in traffic calming it would solve this!
Realise we booked single rooms but one room had a 3/4 bed and one with a small single. Would have been nice to have had a slightly bigger single in my room.
The night porter James (big guy) was an absolute credit to you. He was extremely helpful.

Can't fault hotel lovely rooms very spacious would stay again? But food was a big letdown so would eat elsewhere in future.
Food especially Breakfast was a plateful of grease ? Which we left in fact the food let's the hotel down in a big way .
