Good value but a shame to have dumbed down the food offering.
Pros:

Still a lovely hotel with nice rooms and lovely Rural location. Staff were very nice.

Cons:

Sad that this place (where we got married!) has moved away from it's focus on excellent food and offering a more budget experience. With that said the price did reflect his

Pros:

A lovely location and walking distance into the town. Easy parking and very friendly staff. My room and clean and bright overlooking the garden, no aircon but a fan was provided. A lovely walk-in shower too.

Cons:

Fairly limited choice of food for dinner but what I had was good. Breakfast was a little disappointing, slow service and very limited fresh fruit/pastries

A lovely room in a great building situated in a stunning location.
Pros:

Great room in lovely building in a stunning location. Good parking. A good price especially at a busy time of year.

Cons:

The breakfast had limited options if you did not want a cooked meal. Basic cereals and no fresh fruit available. Only one type of fruit juice was available on the first morning and no chilled water. There was an extra fruit juice and chille water on the second morning which was better. The options were much better on previous visits.

2 peaceful afternoons in the garden with drinks. Really let down by the food.
Pros:

Location is out of town, but it's peaceful, with a decent view if you're sat on the patio. Staff were friendly. Room was ok, with a good view of the hills.

Cons:

Food was disappointing. First night we each had steaks that were bland, little flavour, no sauce.

Second night, my fish meal was tiny and lukewarm. The roast beef arrived without gravy, with a spinach and garlic sauce instead! Bizarre! Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roast beef - should come with gravy!

Website pictures are a bit misleading.
