The room was comfortable
The TV was not operating properly - we had to switch it off as the picture and sound quality were unacceptable .
Ludlow was really nice , not far from the town , breakfast really nice , the meals for dinner could be a lot cheaper

Good location, nice staff, decent value
Room was well appointed...robes, an oscillating fan, great lighting, mirrors, coffee/tea supplies. Bathroom and shower area was large. Facility has a lift. Dinner was exceptional - beyond our expectations in quality, quantity, presentation and menu options. Truly a chef run kitchen! Continental breakfast was well stocked and pastries were fresh and warm. Coffee was French pressed.
Staff was helpful, pleasant, friendly and responsive.
Highly recommend this hotel. Its so comfortable we wished we could stay longer!

Paint peeling everywhere, food cold, food tasted off, staff sitting around like at home with receptionist with her vape and Red Bull on check-in desk. Pillows most uncomfortable…
Close to town centre, so within walking distance. Food pretty good. Although there was no fruit juice for breakfast on the first morning. The room was good with a very large bathroom.
The pillows were awful. Could do with replacing. Housekeeping is questionable. The dining room - cobwebs under the dining chairs. Unsure when last the floor was swept/hoovered. Even for 3 stars, the property should be clean. Little things that would make a vast improvement if attended to.

The hotel is in a nice location
We know this hotel well and have eaten there quite a few times over the years since it opened. We stayed one night this time as we were moving house.
It quickly became apparent that something had changed. The bar was not fully stocked and some of the food on the menu was not available. The food was not of the same standard as previously enjoyed.
We went down for breakfast but could find no staff so decided to hunt for someone as we had to be away early. We finally found someone after period of calling for attention while standing in the kitchen area. The buffet was not fully laid out and we grabbed what we could as we had to leave.
We had problems paying on leaving as the young man on reception was having problems with checking us out of the hotel on their system.
Our room was clean and comfy. Whilst all the staff were friendly and polite and tried their very best to help us, they were not of the same proffesional standard we had previously experienced at this hotel.
Our impression was that this hotel was either in financial difficulties or that we had possibly arrived during a hand over period to a new owner. The arrival of a new cheff was imminent according to a notice on the bar. Hopefully it is the latter and the Fishmore Hotel will be back to its usual standard before too long.

Location was ideal for a short walk into Ludlow. Large bedroom & large bed. Breakfast was nice. Dinner menu had great vegetarian options and the food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient.
There was nothing we disliked. The bedroom furniture could be arranged better, eg- the fridge took up space in the wardrobe. (Room 22)
