Brilliant hotel great location and fab staff
Nothing !!
Staffs were very accommodating and friendly. Had a very early flight and reached hotel by 9AM, property was kind enough to check us in the moment we arrived even though standard check in time is 1PM. This was awesome coming from a flight we were able to rest right away and had the whole afternoon-evening wandering the city. Also loved the fact the iconic bakery was just at the ground floor of the property, one less thing to worry about considering most of the restaurants and cafes close mid-day, we always have the bakery for a bite and coffee. Great location as well being in the center of the city but also quiet during the night so no issues sleeping. Manageable walk to train and bus stations, and other tourist locations. Restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance as well. Vinitus bar few blocks away which we enjoyed going to 3 times of our 5 day stay in Barcelona.
Room was quite small so had some challenges with our luggage. Guests should set their expectations upon booking :)
Difficult booking procedure via booking.com. You are forced to confirm your creditcard via their own website.. my travel partner who booked himself missed that email and his booking was not confirmed. although i have chosen several times this hotel, this procedure made me choose another the next time I visited Barcelona
Pros:
- amazing central location (could literally see the Sagrada Familia from our wee balcony!!)
- spacious, super clean room. Some reviews say the rooms are very small, but we would disagree with this and felt it was a good size (we were staying in an exterior room)
- amazing high pressure waterfall shower
- we were able to access our room before 3pm and were able to leave our luggage in a secure, locked room after check out due to a late flight home
- delicious bakery that was very reasonably priced (the chocolate chip brioche was my favourite)
- free water fountain on 1st floor for refilling water bottles
Cons:
- no mini fridge (that’s seriously the only con we could think of)
Would 100% recommend this hotel, we absolutely loved it and feel it’s not being hyped enough.

We had a wonderful stay! One of the highlights was the bakery downstairs—the smell of freshly baked bread every morning was absolutely amazing and such a lovely way to start the day. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
