Pros:

Ottima soluzione se si viaggia da soli: Capsule Hotel al centro di Shibuya a pochi passi dall'uscita Scramble square.
La struttura è dotata di inoltre una sala ricreativa con cucina utilizzabile e, nella fascia oraria 17.30 / 18.30 puoi servirti della birra alla spina in maniera gratuita. Ottima soluzione per tagliare i costi e per conoscere gente nuova.

Pros:

The location and the actual comfort of the beds is impossible to beat compared to any other place I’ve tried. Japanese beds are typically pretty firm at hotels I’ve stayed at before, but these beds are so incredibly, that I want to build a pod in my room because it feels so cozy in there. Also, their staffing is incredibly diverse and accommodating towards different languages and walks of earth. They also let you leave your bag after check out which is a huge relief as someone with disability that has a hard time moving my luggage more than I have to.

Cons:

The only thing I can complain about is when the rooms get sold out.

The pod had comfortable beds and was clean. The toilets were great and super high tech. The showers were really good too. They had a nice lounge area in the 4th floor, which was a nice comfortable space to sit. I like the range of amnenities, which you pick to your needs. Also, they offer a free cleaning service if you stay with them for a week, which was helpful and nice to have fresh bedding!

Cons:

I didn't like the dark decor, around the building it was really dark, especially in the toilets, there is really dimmed lighting in there, with a combination of shiny walls, I was feeling a dizzy sensation and nausea (almost like travel sickness).

The breakfast wasn't very nice. 1 day of it was ok, but the same thing everday and not much variety. The taste of hotdogs is quite sickening.

The lift situation was a nightmare. Stairs are only allowed in emergencies and waiting for the lift took a long time often, they have one lift for all floors. It can take a pretty long time, I think I waited 6/7 minutes at one point.

Pros:

This was my first time staying in a pod style hostel and it was actually very pleasant! It felt spacious and the whole layout felt very well thought out.
I am usually quite picky with my hostels because I do not like a party atmosphere and hate uncleanliness… however this place exceed all expectations! The other guests were so respectful of volume and shared spaces, and the bathrooms and bedding were spotlessly clean. Also really appreciated that tea, coffee and snack nuts were always available! What a great perk!

Cons:

The only downside I can think of is that there is only 1 washing machine on the floor and it takes quite a long time (2+ hours). I kept going back for my turn and there was always someone’s washing in it 😅
