An overnight stay for a visit to Troon
Pros:

Genuinely friendly, welcoming staff. This hotel is comfortable and clean. Rooms could do with a refresh/refurb. That said everything worked as it should and was spotless so no great issue. It’s in a great location. The food and hospitality were both excellent and great value. We had a lovely stay.

Cons:

Overall we loved our stay. Yes there are areas that could do with refurbishing, but not so much as to negatively impact our stay, they just add to the charm of a well run and welcoming hotel.

Don’t think I’ll be back

Pros:

Very much enjoyed our stay and found staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and good choices.
Bed was very comfortable and whilst pleased with room could tell it was a bit dated especially the ensuite which did require updating. Having said that we understand the hotel has been sold and will be totally refurbished. Do hope they keep some of the original features though.

Expensive for an average hotel.
Pros:

Breakfast was average, with little fresh fruit available. The location was okay.

Cons:

We didn’t get the double bed we requested, and didn’t like the single beds. Also, the cooked breakfast.
