Pros:

Insgesamt Hotel, das seinem Preis entspricht und typisch britisch ist. Größe des Zimmers ist in Ordnung bei der Preiskategorie, vielleicht ein Problem für sehr kräftige Menschen. Frühstück mit English breakfast basics ordentlich. In der Klasse kann man einen täglichen Wechsel nicht erwarten. Uns hat es völlig gereicht (Cornflakes, haferpops, Toast, quality Joghurt und Obst auch dabei sowie Heißgetränke und Wasser / Saft). Frühstücksraum überschaubar, aber schön durch kleinen Garten dahinter. Recht leer, als wir da waren. Aufzug vorhanden. Unser Zimmer war sehr ruhig nach hinten raus und die Straße ist ebenfalls ruhig und hübsch. Wir fanden das Bett sehr gut und auch die Kissen. Bad in kleiner Größe auch gut geschnitten. Personal immer freundlich und bemüht bei Anfragen. Kein WLAN Problem. Klimaanlage funktionierte sehr gut. Für den Preis alles in allem sehr OK.
Hinweis zur Lage: die Overground Station Olympia wird nur am Wochenende durch die District line (Underground) bedient. Aber man kommt sehr gut mit der Main Line weg und kann dann umsteigen in die Underground.

Cons:

Duschvorhänge sind tatsächlich outdatet (aber Fusstuch hilft am Boden). Wasserdruck auch typisch britisch geringer im dritten Stock. Das Zimmer ist etwas "abgewohnt", Tapeten und Teppich haben bessere Zeiten gesehen, es müffelt leicht, geht aber durch Fensteröffnung weg. Problem beim Abzug der feuchten heißen Duschluft. Das läuft nicht optimal und der im Raum vorhandene Lüftungsschlitz braucht Überarbeitung. Deswegen nur 7 Punkte und nicht mehr. Ein sympathisches Haus, das eine Auffrischung bräuchte (die laut Angestellter auch mittelfristig geplant zu sein scheint).

I had a room beside the hotel kitchen

The hotel has lovely decorative features and is in a good location. The bed was comfy.

I was here with two friends (a couple) so we had booked separately. They were on the second floor. I was on the lower ground floor.

The location of my room was right beside the kitchen. The room had a frosted window and when I looked out of it, the view was of the actual kitchen.

I had a feeling I would probably be woken early by the kitchen staff preparing breakfast. Breakfast is scheduled from 7.30am so I asked the receptionist if I could move rooms but she said the hotel was fully booked. I asked if all the rooms were the same nightly rate and she said yes.

The receptionist was very apologetic and kind, so I have no issues with her service.

I was woken at 7am hearing pots and pans being used. I could see the kitchen staff through the frosted glass so I pulled the curtains across but it was still loud and I didn't get back to sleep.

I just think if you are going to place someone in a room beside the hotel kitchen, maybe reduce the rate of that room because its not fair that I paid the same rate as my friends who were on the second floor, had a window that looked out onto the garden and they weren't disturbed by any noise whatsoever.

Being in a room by myself on the lower ground floor, as a woman, was quite a weird and lonely experience. It felt like I was consigned to the basement and I didn't feel comfortable.

Small boutique hotel in a great area
Pros:

Location was great - close to many train stations. Shops and restaurants are all close by.
Hotel was very nice - a small boutique hotel which suited us.

Cons:

The breakfast is the only minor criticism - very basic. A sandwich press would be good and have a range of deli items for a toastie or some cut up fruit.

Pros:

Petit hotel charmant, dans une rue calme a l'écart des grands axes de Kensington.
La chambre est confortable, quoique très étroite. Petit frigo et bouilloire avec café et thé.
Le petit-déjeuner est complet, et le gros plus, c'est de pouvoir le prendre dehors dans le jardinet.
