They cancelled our reservation without telling us and then ignored requests from booking.com staff to explain what was going on. Do not recommend
I loved the location and the space downstairs available as well.
If you are staying a while, understandably you cannot open the windows but that was very uncomfortable for me.
Room was small but totally functional.
Rooftop was amazing.
Good quirky city vibes
We had been warned that the room would be small, but while smallish it was well designed and we never felt cramped.
We chose the location on the Bowery because we had come to NYC to attend an event held there. The Bowery is still a dicey neighborhood, however -- gentrification rubs shoulders with homelessness, the New Museum with the Bowery Mission -- and it suffers from the disadvantage of being so far downtown that it's a lengthy trek to most of the city's points of interest. (An exception was the Tenement Museum, just a few blocks away, as was Russ and Daughters delicatessen. Brooklyn -- the bridge and the borough -- were near as well.)
