Fabulous stay in a great location with excellent food.
Pros:

The location of The Old Vine is brilliant. It is so central and so close to Winchester’s main attraction- the Cathedral.
The breakfast has to be one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The quality of the food and extensive choices was excellent. All served freshly prepared to the table.
We also ate in the restaurant one evening and our meal again was excellent.
Our room was large and extremely clean as was the bathroom.
The staff were very friendly and efficient.

Cons:

The only issue we had for our 2 night stay was that our bed was a little bit firm for our liking but obviously that might suit other people.
And it did creak a bit but it was a beautiful bedstead which I assume was quite old but totally in keeping with the room.

Comfortable rooms, great staff, good food, in the heart of beautiful Winchester.
Pros:

The breakfast served to our group was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. It was an absolute pleasure to meet each morning and be greeted by good food and friendly service.

Cons:

There was nothing really. Having worked in hospitality ourselves for over 30 years ( Clefs d’Or Concierge/Chef), we know what to look for.
