Pros:

Our room was very spacious and clean. The beds were also comfortable. We had a laundry machine and kitchenette that were also well functioning.

Cons:

The location is not very central. Also the hallways are outdoors so there would be bugs around our entryway.

Great City with Lots of experiences, eateries, and shopping!
Pros:

Great Location. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The Nijo Castle ticket promotion was an added bonus. An easy walk to Nijo Castle. Also, there is a local market just a few blocks from the hotel. Cafe Bogota for breakfast next to the hotel was wonderful! Very relaxing. The HUGE Nishiki market is about a 15-20 minute easy walk from hotel. Teramachi Street and Shinkyogoku Street markets are also adjacent to Nishiki. Lots of high end shopping and restaurants are also nearby. We spend 1 day exploring Kyoto and 1 day in Osaka before heading out by train to Hiroshima. The Mimaru Luggage Service was amazing. We had a typhoon come through at the end of our stay and the hotel staff was very helpful. They held our luggage, gave us some very sound advice and had all of our suitcases($20/suitcase) delivered to our next hotel on-time with no issues, and kept us informed during the whole process. Very convenient and highly recommend!

Cons:

Everything was wonderful, but if they run any more promotions (like the Nijo Castle ticket promo), a tea ceremony in Kyoto would be welcome!

Pros:

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, hat gute Tips gegeben und war bemüht. Die Lage ist gut, mitten in der Stadt und alles ist gut ereichbar

Cons:

Es hat aus dem Bad gestunken ( nicht definierbar ob Dusche Waschmaschine oder WC)...nicht weil ich empfindlich bin.
Es roch nicht als wir ankamen, aber über Nacht oder wenn wir tagsüber weg waren hat sich ein sehr unangenehmer Geruch ausgebreitet trotz eingeschalteter Klimaanlage.Ich habe dies 2mal gemeldet und es wurde wohl nachgeschaut, geändert hat es leider nichts.
Das ist leider ein gravierierebder Minuspunkt der den Aufenthalt sehr getrübt hat

Comfortable and conveniently located! We had a fabulous stay!
Pros:

Stayed with my husband and two 20-something kids. The space worked well for us, the kitchenette was great, and loved having a washer/dryer in the bathroom. The location was also fabulous, walking distance to many sites and short taxi and train rides to others. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Only a few *small* inconveniences, notable mostly because of the contrast to another Mimaru location we stayed at in Tokyo. We would have preferred four beds instead of having to fold up futons to use the “living space.” The traditional short and small table was challenging to use. A frosted shower door would have created a bit more privacy in the bathroom. Still, loved our stay and would return for subsequent visits!
