Perfectly good base for sightseeing
Pros:

The hotel was right next to the station and so using the train was very easy. Also pretty close to the main town and restaurants. The hotel was perfectly good for a couple of nights whilst sightseeing around Jaffna.

Cons:

The coffee was dreadful!

Excellent stay. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and accomodating. All staff were excellent. During our breakfast Ms Pavithira was very helpful assisting with food and helpful. All other staff were excellent too.

Cons:

Little bit of tidying up in room washroom will give my 100% excellent review. Overall good.

Good location, great staff, good food although somewhat touristified!

Cons:

Not much. Bit expensive for off season but given limited choice if good hotels in the area fully worth it!

Pleasant Stay at North Gate Jaffna
Pros:

We had a very pleasant stay at North Gate Jaffna. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good.

Cons:

The only issue we experienced was that the washroom door suddenly locked, and it took about 10 minutes for maintenance to unlock it. Apart from this minor inconvenience, everything else was good. We would happily stay here again.

Excellent with all comforts managed
Pros:

Amazing attentive staff, willing to help at all expenses in the restaurants and reception. A big shout out to all the staff especially the room attendee called Francis , keep up the good work in your gentle way

Cons:

Cleanliness, pool, small gym air conditioning, food central to railway station a short walk. Easy Tuc tuc drive. Easy to get tours

A great place to stay
Pros:

Lovely, well run hotel. Staff very friendly. Rooms exceptionally cleaned by Francis. Breakfast and dinner buffets amazing. Lots of choice of local foods. Great location - 2 minute walk to train station, 20 min walk to Jaffna Fort and 20 min walk to main shops and market.

Cons:

No umbrellas for the loungers at the pool making it difficult to lounge by the pool until mid afternoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was comfortable, clean and the staff very helpful.
Pros:

The property was clean, modern, served great meals and came with a gym and swimming pool.

Cons:

The location was great for train travellers as it was located within 200m of the railway station but was otherwise it a bit remote from shops etc
