Staff were excellent. Location was good. Food was ok. The pool was very good
Parking was limited
The room was very small. Windows were dirty and two did not close and wind whistles through all night. One of the views out of a window was blocked by an exterior TV aerial .Curtains didn't fit and one wouldn't close because of the TV which was screwed to wall. Only one mirror in room and that was on a low unit which was where the kettle and cups were and was also blocked by TV. My wife has to kneel on floor to use mirror. The shower has mould and peeling paint on walls. In the shower one of the holders for shampoo had fallen off the wall so the shampoo was on the sink. We were told if we had issues to call reception from our room. However there was no phone in the room.
The facilities were good. Food was really nice as well.
The room was quite outdated and bathroom needed some TLC. Creaky floors but is is an old building.
When we went to book in my husband was told you’re a bit early, it was 2 minutes to 3 ,seemingly they had trouble with the keys ,but her attitude was awful,thankfully the manager was there and asked a lady who worked there yo show us to our room ,thank goodness for someone withe sense,the rest of the staff were amazing.
The lounge area needs updating, there is no atmosphere at all ,.the bedrooms are beyond fabulous,it’s a pity about the lounge and the lady receptionist .
Self service breakfast was very good with a selection of cereals and cooked foods. Swimming pool was a pleasant temperature and swimming lessons were offered to children
Marmalade was rather runny which made it messy to eat, but it tasted good
wir hatten Zimmer Nr. 2. Ausstattung im Zimmer ok, aber von der Zusammenstellung und geschmacklich richtig schlecht! 2 Gartenstühle, eine alte Couch, win Sideboard hinter der Couch. Bett war gut. Undichtigkeit an der Decke und erster Schimmel an der Wand! Das Bad war unzumutbar! Nicht sauber, rostige Anbauteile, schimmlige Silikondichtungen. Preis Leistung schlecht!

The location is very good. Breakfast was very good, the coffee was terrible. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as the menu was very poor.
Lighting in the room was poor. The over bath shower was i feel dangerous.
The manager was incredibly helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The variety at breakfast was great. The grounds and the view make this a very good location.
The bathrooms could be better.

This is a small, traditional style hotel in Windermere. It felt very personal and staff were welcoming and helpful. Very high standard of cleanliness. Small but lovely grounds and view of the Lake from the terrace. Small, warm swimming pool. Good choice of breakfast items and although hotel was full, it did not appear busy, and no wait for tables. Dinner menu changes nightly and whilst a relatively limited choice, it was good quality and good value for money.
There is no lift to the second floor where our room was. On arrival it would have been helpful to be advised that there is however a lift as far as the first floor. Our room was very warm but fans were already in place.
