Great place at the end of the village. You're about 2km from the main attractions and restaurants BUT, it's beautifully quiet and peaceful. Right by the river.
The owner was brilliant with communication using WhatsApp. So helpful.

Location is a bit far from the places you can eat or have drinks however they provided 2 bicyles for us immediately before we asked for, so we easily wandered around. The town is already a tranquill and quiet, so is the room and the property. We stayed for one night at the room with river view, which was nice. The room is basic and comfy enough for 2-3 people. Owners are very nice and helpful people like all the Vietnamese people in general :) It was a pleasent stay. It is a homestay so hotel standards shouldn't be expected.

Good friendly staff

Nice room overlooking the river, our host Diana made us feel welcome and did everything to please us.
The location is a bit out of town,this is good if you want a peaceful experience, in the warm season the river would be very inviting.

Everything! The family were extremely kind to us and very friendly and warm. We had breakfast with the most fantastic view and they were super helpful with organising us with a motorbike and recommending us some local spots nearby. The location was away from most things but that was exactly what we wanted - peace and quiet ! Fantastic!!!!!

One of the best private accommodations I have been to. A wooden, cozy building with a beautiful view of the river and mountains. The owner can help you with trips to nearby caves. A thing worth every price.

This is one of the reasons why I extended my stay in Phong Nha, my host Yen and her family were nothing but wonderful. I purposely chose to stay in this area for peace and being close to nature. Views from my room are amazing, waking up to mountain landscapes and having quiet mornings by the riverside. Such genuine hospitality and I couldn't thank Yen enough, she made sure I was relaxed until my night bus ride to Hanoi. I will definitely come back with my partner and stay here again! :)

We had a wonderful stay at Phong Nha River House. The room was spotless, comfy, and private with a lovely terrace overlooking the river and mountains. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, assisting us to book transfers and tours and making a delicious breakfast each morning.

The room didn't have any windows or any place to put anything. No tables. They were kind enough to put a couple of blankets on the bed to make it more comfortable. The woman who ran it seemed nice enough. She said her son was sick and then she sat down with us while we were eating.

Loved the fact that it was just a bit out of town and on the river

Nothing but positives for this stay. The owner is the most kind and helpful lady, she and her young family made our stay just perfect. She sat down and offered us free snacks when we got there and told us all about the local area and where best to spend our time. The room was perfectly clean and the view overlooking the river was amazing. She also offered bike rental with no down payment or passport hold which was instantaneous for 150k. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough.

very peaceful and the owner was very welcoming. we arrived incredibly late and she helped organise a cab for us last min and stayed up to let us in. she also let us leave our bags after check out and use the shower when we returned later to pick up our bags!
only one room on the corner is river facing but I don’t think it’s an issue because it’s unlikely you’d be sitting in the room to look out to for more than a few mins anyway (so if river room isn’t avail, don’t be put off booking one of the others) Nice bike ride (which was free to use) into town so enjoyed biking in (10mins)
