The location is absolutely amazing. Woke up to mt fuji outside pur window and crossed the road for the mpst beautiful pictures by the lake. If you're looking for a "cheap" place to visit mt fuji this is the best value there is
The hotel is dated, old, strange smell... bed and pillows rock hard. Honestly you get what you pay for in this location. You have to leave your room key at reception to get your car keys. Very strange

The onsen was clean and comfortable.
The supplied pillow was uncomfortable with no alternative options available.
On arrival we were told that there were no dinner or breakfast options. But still people were eating in the restaurant that same night.
The excellent hospitality that we are used to in Japan was lacking at the reception.

夕食も朝食も富士山を見ながら、美味しくいただき、
食後は、目の前の河口湖のまわりを散歩しました。
機会があれば、ぜひまた泊まりたいです。
到着した時、スタッフの方は電話中で、対応していただくまで、随分待たされました。
お風呂場で少しすべりそうになったので、気を付けながら歩きました。
また、男湯女湯入り口はすぐ横ですが、鍵などはないので少し不安でした。

夕食の バイキングはまるで よそのホテルの朝食のバイキングのようであった。そこで全てが台無しとなった。
アメニティの種類が最低限で少なかった。
フェイスタオルはお風呂用と 洗面用と2つないと 使い勝手が悪い。
窓ガラス が 汚れていたので 、富士山 の写真を撮ってもその汚れが映っていた。
仕方ないので外に出て写真を撮った
部屋からの景色が最高！朝6時頃逆さ富士がみれた！
味は悪くなかったが、特筆すべき料理はなかった
The only good thing about the hotel is the view. All rooms have direct view to Fuji.
When I arrived earlier that the check-in hour, we had an emergency and I needed to change the baby, the reception pointed towards the toilet, where there was nothing of use for what we asked. They suggested we check in earlier if we want to changed a diaper, which costs extra per hour. We ended up paying extra as we needed the room. Also, they didn’t see, and insisted, that we did not already pay the stay on booking.com
Even though its a hotel placed in a touristy area, the lady receptionist spoke 0 english, so she could not help us with anything.
There is a shuttle, but you need to reserve it 1 day before, there are 0 info shown, you have to request all the information, and with 0 english, it’s not easy.
I requested help with a taxi reservation for the next day, they declined saying its not possible, in that morning, I requested support to request a taxi to come, as the apps cannot find a taxi close to the hotel, as its further from the town, they called once, the taxi company didn’t answer and declined calling a second time
I had the sensation for multiple times that I teleported in North Korea. That was the vibe
