I’m extremely disappointed by my latest experience at the Paramount Hotel. I believe this was my fourth or fifth stay, but unfortunately, I will never return.

First, I would like to thank the receptionist who assisted me. I have forgotten her name, but she was exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful. She always does her best to ensure that rooms are properly cleaned and that guests have what they need, such as an iron, even when these matters are beyond her direct responsibilities.

However, the quality of my sleep during this stay was extremely poor. I had specifically requested a room without draughts from the windows. Unfortunately, many of the hotel’s old wooden window frames appear not to have been properly maintained or replaced, allowing cold air into the rooms.

My flight was delayed, and I arrived at approximately 11:00 p.m. When I entered the room, the window was open. I tried to close it, but it was defective and would not shut properly. Thankfully, I heard another guest speaking in the corridor and asked him to help me. Otherwise, I genuinely do not know how I would have managed to sleep, especially as I needed to wake up at 5:00 a.m. and be well-rested and mentally sharp for an important presentation.

Please fix your hotel. It feels as though you are simply taking advantage of the convenient location while neglecting the condition of the rooms and amenities, which are frankly appalling. Many aspects of the hotel are old, poorly maintained and far below an acceptable standard. In its current condition, this feels like a one-star hotel.

The excellent location and the kindness of the receptionist are the only positive aspects, but sadly, they are not enough to compensate for such an uncomfortable and disappointing stay.
