Cons:

Chambre familiale pour 6 avec seulement 2 prises électriques. Chambre avec vue sur un terminal de trains avec des trains qui sifflent tard le soir et très tôt le matin. Salle de bains ouverte sur la chambre. Toilettes pas du tout isolés. Aucun endroit pour suspendre les serviettes que la femme de ménage laisse donc en boule, mouillées, les unes sur les autres.

Simple and charming hotel in Cusco center
Pros:

The hotel is set in a lovely colonial house, rooms are simply decorated and large, with a comfortable bathroom and central heating (necessary at night as Cusco in winter gets cold!). Alpacas and llamas walk freely in the gardens, a nice and surprising sight. Breakfast was good and with enough choice and location is perfect, on a quiet street in the city center. Some reviews complained about the noises from other visitors: in our experience in Peru, most hotels are not well isolated and the fact that the rooms are placed around a patio of an old house is part of the charm. So yes, you hear if passengers talk or carry luggage on the corridors, but it's not a large hotel and didn't happen frequently.

Cons:

Check-in was very slow and difficult; reception personnel was inexperienced. The amount they charged didn't match amount on reservation and they requested cash payment. I had to cancel the reservation Booking in order to be able to pay the right amount in USD. The whole thing took forever, that wasn't ideal when just arriving to Cusco, having jetlag and needing to adjust to altitude. We thought the hotel was simple, though charming, but you definitely need patience to deal with personnel that's not up to the task.

J’avais beaucoup hésité avant de réserver cet hôtel. Malgré les qualités du personnel et de l’emplacement, je pense que
Pros:

Le personnel est vraiment très accueillant et serviable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié leur gentillesse et le fait qu’ils aient accepté de garder nos bagages pendant notre excursion au Machu Picchu, ce qui nous a beaucoup facilité le séjour.

L’emplacement est également un vrai point fort : à une dizaine de minutes à pied du centre, avec plusieurs petits restaurants simples et très abordables dans la rue, ainsi que des services de laverie juste à côté.

Cons:

les chambres sont assez sommairement équipées et mal isolées, même si cela semble assez courant dans cette gamme de prix. Nous n’avions pas de chauffage dans notre chambre et il a fait assez froid pendant la nuit. Comme nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit, nous ne l’avons pas signalé, mais pour un séjour plus long nous l’aurions fait.

Le plus gros point faible reste le petit-déjeuner, qui était clairement en dessous de ce que nous avons eu dans les autres hôtels de notre voyage. C’est dommage, car c’est vraiment le point noir de l’établissement.

À noter également qu’une taxe de 10 % a été ajoutée au tarif affiché sur Booking, ce qui nous a surpris car nous n’avions pas rencontré cette pratique dans les autres hébergements.
