Never again
Pros:

The single room was at the top of the house and very hot but at least it had blackout blinds. They had a fan, thank goodness.

Cons:

Check-in process was extremely poor. They’d made no attempt to make the single room look attractive. The shower room was unbelievably small.

The location was good.

Cons:

My room was totally different than in the picture, the beds were old and damaged, the toilet seat was in horrible condition. Generally my room looks like it needs more attention to make it more pleasant.

A good stay, overshadowed by poor customer service and the breakfast issue.
Pros:

The location is quite good, around a 30-minute walk from the city centre in a pleasant and quiet neighbourhood. The room was acceptable and met our basic expectations.

Cons:

The staff were quite rude and unhelpful. We had specifically booked and prepaid for a rate that included breakfast, but were told on arrival that we were not entitled to it. Despite showing our booking confirmation, we were simply told to contact the property ourselves, which never responded to our calls or messages. We ended up paying for four breakfasts we never received. Booking.com later confirmed that breakfast was included in our reservation and offered a partial refund from their own funds because the property did not resolve the issue. This was a very disappointing experience and showed a complete lack of customer care.

Functional, friendly and great location for getting into city centre
Pros:

I booked this hotel and was then a little nervous reading the reviews. The hotel could definitely do with quite a bit of maintenance work, but it was clean and had what we needed - bed and bathroom. Parking was no problem and once there it is two minutes from the bus stop that takes you quickly and cheaply along the direct road into the city centre. Staff were excellent, arrived quickly when called to say we arrived and resolving issues when we initially were not recognised as having paid for breakfast. A good place to stay if you are visiting Oxford and just want somewhere to stay within a budget.

Cons:

Decor, lots of maintenance work required, for example cracks and damage to the walls, damage to sink.

Comfortable, good budget stay
Pros:

The rooms were very comfortable and the en suites well appointed, though one of them had a very small shower cubicle. There was initially some confusion with our booking which was resolved quickly - we booked a twin room and were given a double, but when I explained we were father and daughter the proprietor offered us another room at no further cost. The house was clean and quiet.

Cons:

The booking confusion wouldn't have been so readily resolved if they had not had an extra room spare.

I chose the place as have stayed many times and had lovely rooms however this time I was disappointed that we couldn’t g
Cons:

Cleaner knocking on door twice, once at 9am and again at 10am asking if we were ready for the room to be cleaned when we had already said the first time she knocked at 9am that we were checking out at 11am.
It’s personally feel that it’s not correct for the cleaners to be knocking on doors waking up guests because they want to clean the room when checkout clearly states 11am (unless they have received the keys back).
