A pleasant stay unfortunately overshadowed by an uncomfortable and poorly handled check-out experience.
Pros:

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. The room and facilities were well maintained, and overall my stay was pleasant until the check-out experience.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the check-out experience left a very negative final impression. I was asked to wait while the room was checked, which I did not mind. However, I was then told by the receptionist that everything was fine except that some small towels were missing. The way this was communicated felt unnecessarily suspicious and accusatory, which made me very uncomfortable.

Housekeeping had cleaned my room the previous evening, so the towels may simply have been collected during cleaning and not replaced. I explained that I had not used or taken them. I believe the hotel should have checked this internally with housekeeping before approaching a guest in a way that could make them feel accused over missing towels.

The issue itself was minor; the manner in which it was handled was not. Unfortunately, it spoiled what had otherwise been a pleasant stay.
