The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Warsaw's city centre and the main railway station (Warszawa Centralna), making it a practical choice for exploring the city. The room was generally comfortable, and the facilities were satisfactory overall.
Check-in: The hotel asked for my estimated arrival time, but the room was not ready when I arrived. I understand early check-in is not guaranteed, but clearer communication would have helped.
Cleanliness: There was visible dust around the smoke detector and near the window. The carpeted floor was also unsuitable for someone with a dust allergy.
Comfort: Soundproofing was poor. I could hear a dog barking and housekeeping vacuuming in the corridor. A cleaner also bumped against my door. I felt uncomfortable because she appeared to be watching for me to leave so she could clean, which made me feel rushed.
Service: Staff rarely greeted or acknowledged guests. I found the staff member requesting payment rude and unwelcoming.
Breakfast: The selection was disappointing compared with similar hotels I have visited in France. There were no freshly prepared omelettes or other made-to-order options. The staff at breakfast seemed irritated rather than welcoming, standing near the entrance with a room-number checklist. My dishes were also cleared before I had finished eating.
Facilities: There was no drinking-water dispenser on the ground floor, although dispensers were available on other floors. I also found only one men's toilet near reception, which seemed inadequate for a hotel of this size.
The location is a real advantage, but I expected better cleanliness, hospitality and attention to guests' comfort from ibis Styles.
