It felt just right.
Pros:

It was located away from the crowded tourist area, yet super close to everything. Clean and very attentive staff.

Cons:

It was difficult to get to the first day, not knowing the directions. But maybe that’s just Venice in general.

Too expensive for a dirty suite that had deceptive/fraudulent staff to make your stay un-enjoyable.

Too expensive.
Dirty suite. Found someone else's slippers under the bed.
Deceptive staff - on booking.com it stated in writing that check out was 12 pm. Front staff was arguing with me that check out was 11 am. When I went back to screen shot the 12 pm check out time, it was suddenly changed to 11 am, right before my eyes.
Entrance to suite was down a sketchy back alley.

I like this part of Venice (not overly crowded comparing to more touristic districts). Obviously, lot's of walking will be needed to sightsee (but it is always the case for Venice)

Pros:

Apartment was very good with premium fittings and fixtures. Rooms were good size and full kitchenette was provided. Service was prompt and it took 2-3 mins for both checkin and checkout .

Quiet and cozy room
Pros:

It was close to San Marco. Perfect and quiet location. Around hotel was a lot of cute locals and restaurants with reasonable prices. Staff was frendly and polite. The hotel room was very cozy and clean.

Aquarius Hotel - 5 star service
Pros:

The staff was excellent. From Carlotta, who checked us in and handled all pur special requests to Andrea, the bartender. Very professional. Excellent people.

Cons:

Long walks to Piazza St. Mark, but you walk everywhere in Venice.

The location away from the main square means that we explored more of Venice
