The property is an oasis within Asuncion. A relaxing luxury and natures atmosphere resembling the 19th century, with ample and comfortable facilities. Excellent services and attentive staff.

Cons:

Rooms could be modernised to offer a bit more comfort to guests, especially the bathrooms. Also the acoustic insulation of apartments could be improved.

Nice location, impressive building with great friendly staff, only lacking a full renovation in the rooms.

Magnífica estadía para siempre recordar!

Nuestra estadía en el Gran Hotel del Paraguay fue excelente en todos los sentidos. Un lugar mágico tanto por su decoración, estilo, calidad en todo y la gente que trabaja en el hotel... aparte de su profesionalidad y atento servicio, demuestran una gran calidad humana.

Un lugar rodeado de magnífica naturaleza y paz, y aún cerca de todo. Nos hemos sentido privilegiados de vivir esta gran experiencia.

El restaurante es excelente tanto como para el gran y fresco desayuno, así como otros servicios de comida. Los camareros super atentos.

El hotel cuenta con un bar de estilo único donde siempre están listos para atenderte, buen café, cocktails, snacks, etc.

No vemos la hora de regresar a el Gran Hotel del Paraguay y volver a "sentirnos en casa".
En cuanto a puntuación el hotel merece un 10, pero aquí nuestro 9 para no parecer muy rígidos y dejar al hotel espacio para que siempre pueda sumar algo más ♡

Muy buena estadía
Pros:

El hotel tiene una excelente ubicación. Las instalaciones son lindas, de estilo colonial y con mucho verde. Están todos los espacios limpios. Todo el personal es muy amable y la recepción está a disposición las 24 horas. El desayuno es variado y rico.

It’s great property with great amenities, but the best thing of this place is staff . Everyone is welcoming and helpful.

It’s pretty old, so door of our bathroom couldn’t close properly and some furniture smell on mold

Not worth the money
Pros:

The location was good. The bed was comfortable and there was hot water but it runs out fast

Cons:

My room was next to a school and road, the noise was bad. I asked for some water at the lobby, for a small bottle they wanted to charged 1.5 US dollars. The restaurant food was expensive and terrible. The meat served was old and poorly cooked
