My car was broken into in the parking lot and there are no cameras
Comfortable beds & king bed room very spacious. I love the chase chair in the room.
We checked in to the room & didn't have bath towels. Had to call for those. Hand soap in bathroom empty. Morning breakfast was disappointing unfortunately. Went down at 9:20 am & 1/2 of items empty & not refilled. Good amount of people in eating area saying the same thing. This was our 4th stay here & 1st time having these issues. 😢
The bed was great.
I had a mobility accessible room, the floor in the bathroom was filthy, toilet ring was present, grab bars in tub : shower area were loose!

The beds were clean
The pool was closed, no notification. There was damage in out room, toilet paper holder broken, other things like that. The breakfast was bland and minimal and they ran out of essentials quickly. We had to go someahere else to eat breakfast again because it was so bad. Gym was also down. One of the elevators wasn't working. Every ice machine on every floor wasn't working. It just seemed like there was a very short list of things that were actually functional. It wasn't good.
I noticed that some of the pillows in our room has a strong odor, almost like someone who was sweaty had slept on it. It doesn’t smell clean or freshly laundered. Breakfast is advertised as starting at 7:00 AM, but when we came down around 8:00 AM, there was almost nothing left and the food was not being refilled. We expected the breakfast to be adequately stocked during the advertised breakfast hours.
The location was great
There were stains on the nightstand table, some rubbish on the carpet. It was suggested to go to the restaurant located in the sister hotel, but the wait time there was awfully long, we waited for almost an hour for a burger.

The pool wasn't actually open and you had to walk over to the hotel next door to swim if you wanted to. The pool was incredibly dirty. The room still had a birthday balloon, decorations, and tape stuck all over the ceiling and above the window. The fridge/freezer had mold in it. The floors were not cleaned (there were crumbs, some black and brown spots on the floor and long black hair all over on the floor. This was probably one of the dirtiest hotel I have stayed in recently. I did talk to the desk when we got to our room about it being so dirty but it was 1130 at night and they said they could try moving us but they werent really sure.
I was blown away by how personable and accommodating the staff at this hotel was. The hotel is in great shape and the breakfast is really good and not your typical breakfast that’s included at most hotels. I am so happy with our experience here especially since the Holiday Inn across the street didn’t have our reservation when we arrived. Holiday Inn express and suites turned out to be way better! Thank you to the staff especially NAENAE, TARA AND MICKEL. 🙏
This is the second time I have visited the hotel for an annual music program at WMU.
The breakfast remains good (Flo wouldn't have it any other way).
On the other hand, the housekeeping and maintenance are subpar. The floor or my bathroom appeared perpetually dirty (leaving aside the corners and crevices, which looked like they haven't had a real cleaning in months). When the housekeepers come (which is not every day), the service in minimal. One day, my bed wasn't even made.
As others have commented, one of the two elevators is out and appears to have been out for weeks.
I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but cleanliness and maintenance are minimum standards. Until management gets serious in these areas, travelers can find better choices.
The room I had was great! I had a problem with my TV and Mickel, the maintenance guy came and fixed it up for me. I appreciated that so much! Also at the front desk Tara and Nayenaye had great customer service I appreciate her for the help!
Hotel was real quiet, clean, and tidy. The staff was quite pleasant. Naenae at the front desk had wonderful customer service skills. As well as Mickel was a quick responder to any maintenance issues or any other concerns that we may have. I rate the hotel at 100%.
The room was great! Front desk NayeNaye and Tara were really helpful and kind also!
