Sehr zentrale Lage, unglaublich freundliches Personal.
Liegt absolut zentral

Wir waren rundum zufrieden
Very centrally situated.
Good breakfast and nice courtyard restaurant. Lovely staff in both.
This was not a good choice by us. It is a very traditional old fashioned hotel, a bit dark and dated. It has been a family owned hotel for five generations and the appearance and decor have not been updated. This obviously appeals to many but not to us. We should have realised this from its website and from the reviews so this booking was a mistake on our part for which we cannot blame the hotel.
However there were other things which we found very disappointing. There was only a thin remnant of toilet roll in the room and virtually no liquid soap. In decades of touring Europe we have never before had to request toilet paper. When we reported this to the man on reception we felt his attitude was offhand and dismissive - there was certainly no apology. However he did arrange prompt supply. We found his attitude very different from his colleague (?manager or family owner) who had checked us in and had been friendly and helpful.
When we requested a dinner booking at 8 pm via that same receptionist we felt pressurised to accepting 7.30 pm “ as the kitchen closes at 9 pm”. We were surprised therefore when other customers arrived at the restaurant at 8.40pm and were seated and served. A minor point but it added to our irritation.
When we came back from a day sight seeing we found our room had not been cleaned. It was only then that we saw on the desk there were please make up my room and also do not disturb signs. However I would expect an hotel room to be cleaned unless there was a do not disturb sign on the door. We did not bother reporting this to reception.
We had booked for three nights but advised reception on the first evening we would be leaving after two nights. We were charged for three nights anyway. I presume the contract allowed the hotel to do this so just accepted the situation.
Tolle Lage, super Frühstück, nettes Personal, alles sauber und schön. Empfehlenswert
Bett etwas weich, je nachdem, was man bevorzugt.
