The food and hospitality were good; everyone was friendly and paid attention to detail with customer needs. Breakfast was hearty and filling and questions were answered with honesty.
The room was very warm, and I couldn't tell whether the radiator was on or off. Providing a fan in the rooms, especially during summertime, would be great. There were no do-not-disturb signs in the room, which was a matter of concern, especially if I were using the bathroom.

Only minor things... Coffee machine wasn't working on the first night. Fire alarm went off before 7 am on Sunday morning because of a leaking radiator. Still, overall I felt really well looked after during my stay.

Room was a great size with modern decor and very clean.
Tea and coffee making facilities were replenished daily and additional requirements were available from reception.
Shower was large and the bathroom spacious.
The downstairs bar offers a good size seating area.
The only reason I gave this a 4 star rating was because the pillows were really uncomfortable - please replace them!!
Otherwise the bedlinen and towels were of a very good quality.
In order to save resources, we would also have been happy to use the towels provided for the two night stay rather than them being replaced daily.

Nothing to dislike about
The staff were very pleasant and helpful, The room was beautiful and comfortable and the Hotel was very clean.
No fridge in the room, they only had one fridge and that was already given to another guest, some of my inhalers needed to stay in a fridge, but that was not possible they did offer to keep our stuff in their basement fridge which was helpful but my inhalers needed to be near me all the time so for us the lack of a fridge is a no no which means we won't be able to use the hotel again which is disappointing as it it is a nice hotel.
the view from the roof was amazing, we had uninterrupted views of the sea, they had water bowls for our dog and there was plenty of areas where we to take the dog/
the remote for the tv only halved worked and if we wanted to turn the tv in room two zero six off we had to turn it off on the wall as the remote wouldn't respond, the bath didn't have a bathmat so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been, the hotel both outside and inside looked tired and could do with a fresh coat of paint, the floors in both the bedroom and hallways felt like you where in a Halloween fun house, the room was very hot so it would have been nice to have the option of a fan to cool people and their dogs down, maybe offer some posher foods at breakfast like smoked salmon on scrambled eggs, also maybe give if two people are sharing a big bed maybe give them the option to to have two single duvets.
Everything was very good. Staff excellent. Food tasty and service was fabulous. Rooms clean and refreshed every day. Breakfast great value. Location could not be better. 2 armchairs to relax in plus a dressing table chair as well. Great full length mirror. Loved that we had an air conditioning / fan unit in our room . Perfect for our stay as was very hot. Lovely large comfortable bed. Thank you to The White Rock.
Worst fault.. Room was very noisy due to it being a very hot weekend and people staying on the terrace until late and talking quite loud . Plus the extra traffic noise,dustman etc etc. We had to keep windows shut and we made good use of the fan unit. Not the hotels fault .
Would have been better in our room if it had a chest of drawers to put your underwear etc in ,as just a single built in wardrobe with one shelf .it was a a large room and was plenty of space to put one.
The staff were excellent. The outside Veranda was good. Rooms good.
