Great location, great staff, go for it!
Pros:

We had a great overall experience at Hotel Star in Sarandë. The location is unbeatable—literally about 60 steps from the beach. They provide beach towels and umbrellas, which made heading down to the water completely hassle-free. The rooms were spotless, and the on-site parking was super easy and convenient. A special shoutout to the two young men at the reception; their service was remarkably fast, helpful, and they went out of their way to accommodate all our needs.

Note that they don't have an elevator, and it has 4 floors, so be ready to take your luggage up the stairs.

Overall, it is a fantastic, comfortable hotel in a prime spot. Just be sure to head down to breakfast early to catch the full spread before popular items run out!

Cons:

Our only minor nitpick was with breakfast during our two-night stay. Service runs from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. On our first morning, we went down at 8:15 AM and found everything fully stocked, fresh, and delicious, including fresh fruits, made-to-order omelettes, and crepes. However, on the second day when we arrived at 9:00 AM, several items were already running very low. They had run out of crepes entirely, and we had to ask staff to refill basic items like fresh fruits and cucumbers (though they kindly whipped up hot, fresh omelettes for us on request).

Pros:

Todo fue perfecto. El personal es amabilísimo, te ayudan con todo muchísimo. Estaba impecablemente limpio y está en una ubicación excelente, tanto para bajar a la playa, como para disfrutar de todo lo que te ofrece la ciudad.

Cons:

No hubo absolutamente nada que no me gustara. Muchos hoteles con menos categoría deberían tomar ejemplo.

Hotel pulito camere spaziose e pulite ogni giorno parcheggio privato molto vicino a tutti i servizi ristorante e mare e soprattutto il personale è gentilissimo

Hotel perfetto sotto ogni aspetto: comfort ottimo, camera pulitissima, colazione abbondante e varia, parcheggio comodissimo e staff di una gentilezza incredibile. Oreste davvero una persona fantastica Sempre disponibile in tutto. Posizione ottima per raggiungere Ksamil e il lungo mare di Saranda. Consigliatissimo, ci tornerei al 100%!

Das Hotel ist zudem top gelegen: ruhig und ideal zum Schlafen. Die Matratzen waren ebenfalls sehr bequem, sodass wir richtig gut schlafen konnten. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen.

Sehr freundlicher, familiärer Betrieb – hier kümmert man sich wirklich um die Gäste. Der Herr des Hauses hat uns jeden Morgen beim Frühstück persönlich gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist und ob wir genug haben. Ein wirklich toller Familienbetrieb, bei dem Gastfreundschaft noch großgeschrieben wird. Top!
Von begrüssung bis zum persönlichen abschied alles bestens.

Was allerdings nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun hat, sondern eher mit dem Verhalten mancher Gäste: Es ist wirklich schade, wenn sich einzelne Personen am Frühstücksbuffet so viel auf einmal nehmen, dass andere kaum noch etwas bekommen. Kaum wurde das Buffet aufgefüllt, war es innerhalb weniger Sekunden wieder leer, weil manche Gäste ihren Tisch regelrecht mit „Reserveportionen“ vollgestellt haben. Ein bisschen Rücksicht auf die anderen Gäste wäre hier sicherlich angebracht.

Wonderful stay with excellent hospitality

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed.

Our room was cleaned every day and everything was kept neat and comfortable throughout our stay. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the high level of service.

The owner was especially kind and attentive. He regularly checked in with us to make sure everything was going well and that we were happy with our stay.

Overall, we felt very welcome and well taken care of. Excellent hospitality, lovely staff, and a genuinely pleasant atmosphere. We would happily stay here again!
