This is a lovely hotel, the bar area is fantastic with great choices for breakfast and the rooms were comfortable although the bathrooms could use some refurbishment. The location is fairly central with lots of good amenities nearby.
The location and the atmosphere
Cleanliness of bed mattresses and the housekeeping
We were back in Belfast for a funeral so we weren’t there for a normal visit.
The hotel looks really nice, a bit like The Ivy I thought. The room was a good size as was the toilet/shower room.
However, the reception, bar/restaurant and corridors had working air on but the room did not. Even with the window open and large fan it was too hot. With that the bed was quite hard so I didn’t get much sleep at all awakening at 4am both mornings.
The shower only gave out very hot water and couldn’t be cooled.
As breakfast wasn’t included in the price we paid £30 for two breakfasts for the following morning. When you get the menu you see that there’s nothing there as expensive as £15! A continental breakfast and drink wouldn’t be £15 so the pricing is off not to mention £5 for soda water and lime.
Nice place but not sure I’d stay again.
Oh, and I was approached 6 times outside by people asking for money.
The bed was exceptional. Comfortable amazing pillows just perfect. We stayed here for a friends wedding and the staff were so friendly
The coffee machine. I don’t like the pods. And the hot water tastes funny. A good old kettle is what was missing.
The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
The lack of parking is a con, but we managed to find a space in the street close by.
Brilliant location and terrific staff
Nothing to speak of really.
Not the shower nor the toilet didn't work.
A lot of junkies outside the hotel.
Beds were comfortable and great location, price was reasonable. Staff were great especially James, but all hotel and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar is the highlight of the hotel, it was beautiful and great service.
Very very warm weather and no air conditioning, the room was very hot all night. There was a fan which slightly helped.
Lots going on clean and lovely staff
I didn’t not like it but it’s a lively place so as you would expect there was a little noise till late but not unbearable.
The staff were so friendly, the bar was gorgeous, the breakfasts and cocktails were lovely. The decor is also really nice. The hotel is very close to Queens University and the city centre so it was an ideal base for visiting academics.
It was very hot and a heatwave is beyond their control obviously, but worth baring in mind that there is no Aircon in the rooms, and the windows at the back of the building open onto an alley which smells like several of the surrounding restaurant kitchens, so that was a bit grim, choosing between bad smells or roasting heat.
My biggest complaint was that the king-size bed was actually two single mattresses pushed together, which meant there was a gap in the middle of the bed that wasn't comfortable to sleep on.
Amazing place to stay! Close to the city centre
Lovely restaurant
Breakfast and bar very good
No bathroom available. Sink plug not on a chain or raising mechanism.
Ugly skip spoiling the view of the hotel.
