On Tuesday there was an unpleasant odour of cat food in my room near the window and outside on the parking space. Breakfast buffet is bit modest, limited just to flakes, yoghurt and toast with jam - wish they had more fruits.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and caring.The.food menu was varied and exceptional in taste and presentation.. The bedroom was large and airy with all the facilities and stunning views.I will definitely be returning to this hotel and I can fully recommend it.

The location was perfect for our visit to Hereford. We had the garden suite which was fabulous, large room, modernised with amazing views, patio and garden furniture. A lovely hotel with period features.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful from reception, to bar staff and restaurant.
Food quality was excellent for evening meals and breakfast, and prices for food and drinks were reasonable for a hotel. Good choice of evening menu.
Would recommend a stay at this hotel and would definitely book again.
Only a couple of small points, even though the prices of food were reasonable, the additional costs of items such as the naan bread with the curry and the egg and pineapple with the bacon steaks could be avoided.
Carpets such as the breakfast room in need of upgrade, but this could well be in future planning, as they do have plans to convert other ground floor rooms to garden suites.

We have stayed here several times now over the last 2 years. This a great venue for eating drinking or overnight stays. Excellent deals, bed and breakfast and or evening meal included. There is a variety of rooms, all are well equipped and clean and very comfortable. The staff here and lovely and very welcoming. Food is lovely and there is a great wine menu.
We love staying here, ands having lived in Monmouth for several years we frequented for evening meals and the murder mystery nights.
