Important information:

Guests wishing to depart before 7am are asked to check-out before 11pm on the evening before departure.

Reception is staffed from 7am to 11pm. The night porter is normally on duty between 11pm and 7am. Should you arrive at or return to the hotel during these hours and find the doors locked, please telephone the Main Reception number (as printed on your booking confirmation) to gain entry.
A deposit may be required at the property.

Not terribly impressed.
Cons:

Whilst having breakfast at 8.30 the cleaner didn’t service my room as I had left a ‘do not disturb’ notice which I took into my room at 9.15am. When I queried this with management I was told that the cleaner starts at 9!! I hadn’t realised guests had to make sure the do not disturb sign had to be removed by 9 am to suit the hours of the hotel staff otherwise one’s room wouldn’t be serviced during the rest of the day!!

Pros:

Easy check in and check out.

Cons:

No fans in the room despite the heat. The shower leaks everywhere. Hallways were extremely hot and humid.

Great for a specific purpose
Pros:

Good location for cycling event I was doing. Left before breakfast both days.

Cons:

Room was on second floor, windows opened approx 1 cm, fan was a desk fan so very hot in room all night. Families couldn’t have stayed in that temperature

Read pretty negative reviews on Google so was apprehensive about booking. But actually preferred this to our recent stay
Pros:

Really lovely welcoming reception, hotel is dated but you should expect this in a 1970’s hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was as expected, full english with plenty of light options, cereals fruit etc. downside was the restaurant was not open on the 2 evenings we stayed, but plenty of food options close by. Was even allowed to have a food delivery to reception if we wished.
car parking on site. Good location with shops and Clark’s village outlet a short walk away.

Cons:

Nothing negative, we just wanted a place to sleep as we were out all day. This was perfectly adequate.

Pros:

Excellent attention from staff couldn't do enough for you, very informative and always on hand when needed, restaurant staff very attentive also

Cons:

room not clean, toilet extract fan not working, Towle were old and had holes, shower head dirty, sink had 4 cracks look like it had been glued,
the second floor corridor heat was unbearable. the radiators felt hot. the receptionist stated the it was the hot water supply.
the restaurant was closed due to staff holiday.

Pretty much what I expected because the outside is not attractive
Pros:

Breakfast was the best of my visit.God to see kippers and Haddock on the menu
