Oarsman's Bay Lodge

The property feels so secluded and the bures are private. The beaches and the reefs just off the sand are incredible. The most important point is the staff, they really make you feel welcome and part of the family. I will come back again without hesitation!

Very welcoming friendly staff. Stunning location.
Excellent new beach front bures - very comfortable with aircon and outdoor shower. More roomy than the original ones and they have their own very relaxing lounge/bar over the bridge form the main part of the resort. Lots of options for activities or just snorkel on the reef right out front and swim with the turtles.

I loved my stay here. The staff were lovely, their singing was amazing, beautiful voices & harmonies.
There were plenty of activities & entertainment going on to keep me busy for 5 days. I really enjoyed the visit to Sawa-I-Lau caves.
The dorms were good, each bed had its own cubicle with bedside draws & a table, & it was enclosed on 3 sides with partitioning for privacy.
Breakfast buffet with a good selection & table service for lunch & dinner. There is a large table for the dorm occupants so you are seated together so nobody gets left out, unless of course you want to dine alone.
There were plenty of, sofas, chairs & sunbeds. The beach is pristine white sand, no litter, no seaweed, & the sea was the most stunning shades of turquoise, blue & green. The reef just off the beach was full of life with turtles, sting rays & plenty of fish.
This is an adult only resort & everyone I met there, young & old, were very friendly & sociable.
Did I mention the Fijian sunsets!

Tiki & the staff made my Fiji experience unbelievable. From the day me & my wife arrived until the very last minute was delightful. The Bure was unbelievable, the scenery was unbelievable, the food was amazing and the staff was just icing on the cake. I can’t wait to come back.. Oarsman makes you feel at home. Vinaka

Our Bure was perfect - clean, comfortable and we loved the outdoor shower. The dining area was spacious and relaxed and we were kept very well fed! The food was fresh and delicious! The beach was absolutely stunning and loved being able to snorkel, swim and paddle board. There were enough activities to keep us busy without being overwhelming, and the staff were so welcoming and kind. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Oarsman Bay Lodge was a truly authentic and wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very genuine and welcoming, and the staff quickly made us feel like part of a family. Their kindness, warmth and hospitality really made a difference.
The lagoon is absolutely stunning and, for us, one of the most beautiful places we visited in Fiji. The natural surroundings are simply breathtaking and make the whole experience even more special.
The food was another highlight: very good, fresh and well balanced.
We also really enjoyed the massages, which were excellent and very relaxing.
Overall, we had a beautiful and memorable stay and would definitely recommend Oarsman Bay Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic Fijian experience, genuine hospitality and a peaceful escape

We unfortunately had wet and windy conditions for most of our 6 night stay which can't be helped but some of our experiences were obviously affected by that. We especially enjoyed the evening music as well as the Saturday night performance - thanks especially to the multi talented Josh, Sefou, Adi, Lucy and others. It was also a good place to meet other travellers with nice informal seating options. Snorkelling on the reef hopping was excellent (both coral and fish) but it was very cold getting back, it was quite choppy and the conditions would be challenging if you were not a good swimmer. These trips are an extra cost. Snorkelling from the beach was not great, there was very little live coral or fish. The location is lovely but it takes around 5 hours to get there by the catarmaran and there are probably other options with a similar feel closer to the mainland.

The bungalow is right next to the beach, quiet, peaceful and very privacy. Staffs are friendly and very accommodating.

This place has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life. The food was excellent, the cocktails were delicious, and the people, the service, the experience, the location, the beaches — everything was absolutely wonderful. I honestly don’t have a single complaint. Everything was amazing.

There is just one thing I would like to explain regarding the payment. I haven’t paid yet because unfortunately my phone didn’t work with the payment machine, and I don’t have a physical card with me. But please be assured that I am not going to keep that money. I will find a way, somehow, to make the payment today and send you the money. Even if it costs me extra or I have to pay a fee to transfer it, I don’t mind. I will make sure you receive the payment, so please don’t worry about that.

I also wanted to explain something regarding what you mentioned about yesterday, when we arrived and you were talking while I was looking for internet.

Yesterday was honestly one of the most stressful and important days I’ve had in a very long time. I was in the middle of applying for my visa, I had no internet, and I urgently needed to respond to my lawyers. That’s why, at that moment, I was more focused on finding an internet connection than listening to you.

It was absolutely not because I wasn’t interested in what you were saying or because I didn’t respect you. I knew that whatever you were explaining to me, I could always ask you about it afterwards, but at that particular moment I had to respond to my lawyers.

The staff were the highlight, so friendly and amazing, they made activities more fun and were all great to have conversations with and connect with.
The whole design of their meal plan is great, with everyone eating at the same time it brings a real feel of community and connectivity. Highly recommend.
