Hands down Customer Service was second to none 10/10. They helped put the B'day surprise together and the bar staff (Kiwi lady) she was so helpful they all just made the stay that much better.

Cons:

The shower kept flooding out the floor with the shower door closed.

Nice location but "cold" atmosphere
Pros:

The location is great. 15' from the Esplanade, right in the center. Friendly staff. The building looked great from the outside, the inside…not so good!

Cons:

Cold atmosphere full off draft downstairs in the hall and breakfast/dinner area. Noisy bub next door. Really cold atmosphere overall, too bad.

Good, but brief stay. Very close to hire car pick up which was handy.
Pros:

Quite a large room, with balcony, which was nice. The in house restaurant Grand Orient was vey nice. Central position in the city.

Cons:

I have already mentioned this to staff at checkout and the issue will, hopefully, be addressed - the bathroom door was very decrepit looking and heavy as it was meant to stay closed otherwise the badly placed smoke detector would set off the fire alarm due to steam. There was a sign in the shower saying that if the alarm was set off there was a fee of $750! for the call out of fire brigade. Poorly designed bathroom.
