We loved our stay here. The old building is beautiful and a two minute walk to the town square, shops and cafes, yet in a quiet street with a peaceful communal courtyard. There's a kitchen area where you can make tea and coffee and there are free pastries offered in the morning. There's also a small fridge to store items for guests. Towels were changed daily as were the free bottles of water. The air con worked well and the shower was hot and powerful. There's no lift if getting heavy luggage upstairs is an issue and noise from people upstairs if you are on the first floor is quite loud - however that is part and parcel of being in a historic building.
There's no reception in the building and you check in at another hotel a couple of streets away - where you also have the breakfast if you have booked it. While you can call the reception on your own phone and the staff are responsive - Hotel Hanoi is not, in this respect, a hotel. It's serviced rooms in a historic building. This meant that there's no staff managing issues onsite, for example making sure the front door was left closed and getting local information on transport, or booking local activities was not entirely convenient. The local tourist information in town was super helpful instead.
Everything was amazing! The hotel is beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they made our stay even more enjoyable. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend Hotel Hanoi.
The room was nice and clean with a lovely feature wall that matched the city. They had a nice courtyard that you could sit and eat or have some food. Staff were very friendly and explain a lot about the area and things to do. Coffee was included which was a nice bonus. Great location right in the heart of the city.
Check in was in another hotel just a short walk around the corner. Good to note if you have large bags to carry with you.
Didn’t realise until I got there this is part of 3 buildings/hotels in the town and you have to check in at reception down the road. Super easy and both perfectly located right in the centre. The staff were so friendly spending a lot of time talking me through the map of the town, things to do and restaurants which was so helpful! Went to as many as I could. Room was lovely, beautiful layout and high ceilings, everything you needed. Appreciated the coffee and communal area to.
Nothing!
Location is great, near to the old town and beach bus stop. Beautiful room with balcony, very cozy and clean.
To be honest, the breakfast wasn’t very good. I only had breakfast at the hotel once, and after that I chose to have breakfast in town instead.
