Pros:

Love the luxurious feel of the hotel. Rooms were huge and the little touches gave us a homely feel. A special mention to Tanaka, a young staff at the reception - we wanted to set off very early for our final hike the next day and wanted to send in our luggage (for transfer to our next hotel) early. The reception counter opens only at 8am, but Tanaka came in early, before 7.30am, to receive our 6 luggage and arranged for the transfer. And we could set off for our hike early! Kudos to Tanaka!

Pretty, quaint and quiet with a great onsen
Pros:

The place was really pretty quaint, and along the quieter stretch of Karuizawa, while also being centrally located between Kyukaruizaewa and Nakakaruizawa. The breakfast was good. But the best was the private open - privacy and tranquility. It was my first onsen experience and I utilised it on the 2 days I stayed.

Cons:

One of the restaurants refused to seat me in the evening because I didn't have a reservation. But all I wanted was a drink - they didn't even listen / fully understand to my request and told me the next slot was an hour later.

全体的には快適な旅行となり満足です。
Pros:

お部屋をアップグレードしていただいて快適に過ごせました。露天風呂も気持ちよく利用出来ました。

Cons:

チェックインの際に連泊翌日の清掃不要を伝えていましたが、翌日清掃はどうするのか確認の連絡が入り、スタッフ間で情報共有がされていないことが少し残念でした。
