Wer abseits von den Massen gern die Einsamkeit und den Dschungel genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Dennoch dauert es nur 5-10 Minuten, bis man im nahe gelegenen Ort Acumal ankommt. Der Weg von der Hauptstraße (Highway 307) zum Quartier beträgt auf einem Schotterweg ca. 5 Minuten. Bei der Ankunft stand John draußen, so dass ich das Tor nicht verfehlen konnte. Das Grundstück ist liebevoll gestaltet; man kann auch sich die Affen anschauen, die gelegentlich in den Bäumen abhängen; hierzu muss man sich in die zwei Stühle setzen im Garten Abschnitt Monkey Viewing. Es gibt auf dem Grundstück zwei Schwimmbäder. Ich schätze, dass bis zu 7 oder acht Parteien gleichzeitig anwesend sein können. Das Zimmer war sehr großzügig; ich schätze vielleicht 30 m² groß. Alle Küchenutensilien waren vorhanden, die man benötigt, um gegebenenfalls selbst zu kochen. John hat mich stets gut beraten im Hinblick auf Ausflüge. Ich habe Acumal, die Ruinen in Tulum und Coba besucht, zudem den Ort Valladolid. Besonders hervorzuheben war die Schifffahrt nach Cozumel ; dort habe ich mir ein Fahrrad geliehen und bin um die Insel gefahren (65 km). Achtung: viel Wasser trinken!

La localisation est parfaite, la chambre est grande, propre et bien équipée. Toute l'équipe est très agréable et serviable, tout était parfait !

Beautiful Location in the forest. Cote, John and their employees really look after their little paradise and have created a cute getaway. The bungalows are basic, but made with a lot of love. You'll find a small kitchen, big fridge, free water and coffee. They also provide a great personal guide with a lot of tips for the region. And of course they didn't forget to provide some kid's books and toys. :-)
All in all: The perfect getaway and starting point for a family or people who like to be in a green environment.
There is a lot of wildlife on the premises as well. We saw many different animals which our kids absolutely loved. For us as parents it was nice to have a place to come back to and relax after our daytrips. The swimming pools are clean and perfectly sized.
After going to Bacalar for a few days we returned for two additional nights because our kids really wanted to go back to this little paradise.
A big grocery store (Super Chedraui) is located about a 10min drive away. You'll get everything you need there.
They also rent a small car at the facility. Just ask them.

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegen mitten im Dschungel. Super gemütlich, mit einer süßen Spielecke für Kinder und einem Pool. Die Vermieterin war sehr nett und hatte sofort auf extra Wünsche reagiert.

Le Camp Akumal est vraiment parfait pour un séjour dans la région, l’endroit est très joli, agréable. Avec deux piscines, un endroit de jeux pour les jeunes enfants, un espace commun extérieur très convivial. John et Cote sont très réactifs et agréables, leur guide papier est bien utile pour visiter la région. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans le logement pour y passer du temps de qualité, la terrasse, les climatiseurs dans les chambres, le lit King confortable, des jouets pour les enfants, du rangement.
Les piscines sont nettoyées tous les jours, et il y a des bouées et matelas gonflables à disposition.
Nous avons vu des coatis, des chouettes pygmées, des iguanes et Barcelona (le chat) qui ronronne chaque matin.

Séjour absolument exceptionnel ! L’hôtel dépasse toutes les attentes, avec des chambres supers confortables , matelas au top .Les propriétaires sont d’une gentillesse incroyable, et ont rendu notre séjour inoubliable.
Jardins et piscines superbes ! Une adresse à ne surtout pas manquer

What John & Cote have created at Camp Akumal is truly incredible. The attention to detail is unmatched — everything you could possibly need is there, all while keeping the peaceful, calming essence of the jungle at the heart of it all.

The accommodation is spacious, spotless, and so comfortable. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals, drinking water provided, plus tea and fresh coffee ready to enjoy. They’ve even thought of the little things — games for the kids, bath and beach towels, and toiletries all included.

Honestly, John and Cote have thought of everything.

This has been one of the best places we’ve stayed on all of our adventures, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

This is a unique place a short drive off the road and you are surrounded by trees and a beauty.

Camp Akumal was super cozy, we felt like home, it’s close to everything but isolated in the beginning of a jungle. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We loved it and we would definitely recommend it!

Die Unterkunft ist super toll im Dschungel gelegen. Wir haben Affen gesehen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und gemütlich.Es ist herrlich ruhig .Die Pools sind toll!
Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und herzlich und geben sich viel Mühe.Wunderbarer persönlicher Empfang mit Willkommensschild!
