Historic Property!
Pros:

This hotel is in one of the most beautiful buildings in the city center and right next to the cathedral. You can't get better than this! The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. We enjoyed the breakfast and would recommend dining in the restaurant for dinner as well. Exceptional service!

Cons:

Nothing to complain about!

Sehr schön
Pros:

Die Lage ist traumhaft. Ich hatte ein Doppelzimmer für mich alleine.Für 2 ist etwas knapp.Da sich das Zimmer in der Mansarde befand , ist es natürlich dunkel, da nur kleine Fenster vorhanden sind. Ansonsten ist alles da, was man braucht. Frühstück ist lanestypisch ( Kaffee, Baguette, Croissant, Butter, Marmelade)

Cons:

Da fällr mir nichts ein.

Incontournable si vous avez de la chance. Peu de chambres
Pros:

Dormir et dîner dans un lieu aussi prestigieux que la Maison Kammerzel est une chance surtout pendant une session parlementaire. L'accueil, la disponibilité du personnel sont une realité.

Lovely hotel in a great location next to the cathedral. We had dinner too...food was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and beautiful building xx❤️

Cons:

Air conditioning wasn't working and as day was hot when arrived. Mini bar/fridge was not working ☹️

Sehr schade um dieses tolle historische Gebäude...
Pros:

Die Lage ist genial und das Haus hat Geschichte ... und der Preis war extrem günstig.
Das Begrüßungsmail war sehr freundlich und der Herr bei der Rezeption auch ... das war's dann.

Cons:

Im Zimmer waren viele Einrichtungsgegenstände beschädigt. eine Matratze komplett durchgelegen - spüre ich heute noch.
Ein Nachtkastenbrett abgebrochen und auch sonst vieles wirklich schlimm ...
nachdem das Zimmer schon nicht gut war, aber wir überall im Haus Bilder von Stars und hochrangigen Politikern hängen, wollten wir zumindest dort essen. Leider ebenso eine Fehlentscheidung.
Begonnen hat es, dass wir um 18 Uhr noch nicht Platz nehmen durften ... das ganze Personal macht jetzt Pause ...
und dann war das Personal zwar freundlich, aber das Essen wirklich keine tolle Sache.
Das Haus lebt anscheinend von Touristengruppen die im 1 und 2 Stock in hisorischen Räumen ein Gruppenessen bekommen. 2 davon haben wir kommen/gehen gesehen. Die Qualität könnte trotzdem wesentlich besser sein.

Charming stay
Pros:

The room was clean,quiet and big. The bathroom was in a separate room, big room with 2 sinks. Some old beams were exposed in the hotel hallway as well as in the bathroom. It was very charming with windows overlooking the city.

The Bustling Heart of Europe
Pros:

The location couldn't be better. Right on the square with Notre Dame. The room was compact, but functional even thought it's the roof, i..e half the ceiling is sloped. The view from the room looked straight onto the cathedral's main steeple. The air conditioning, especially given the very hot summer time, worked really well, maybe even too well, depending on how chilly you like things. The room has a TV, though I never used it.

There are many squares without easy and short walking distance. I was there over peak summer season so the streets and squares were bustling at night with people eating out, music and light shows against the cathedral, and even an oompah brass band, a fairground carousel and, unexpectedly, a roving Mexican band.

Strasbourg, hosting the European parliament, is very cosmopolitan. I had no issues getting around with limited German (yes, ouch) and non-existent French. People are friendly, open and just make things work in whatever broken dialects can be managed.

Cons:

The power socket by the bed only works for the concierge phome. A standard power socket would've been great. I charged my phone with a socket across the room so had to get up to dismiss my morning alarm (yes, super lazy and picky that *grin*).

Those with mobility concerns, might find the last narrow, spiral of stairs from the lift to the attic room challenging.

Being right on the square, in peak summer holidays time, ensures the area is always buzzing and lively up to midnight. You can hear the cathedral chime and, during my stay, music and crowds from the square below. I loved it, but it might not be your thing.
