Pros:

Wir haben unseren Urlaub im Boton Blue Hotel in Nha Trang insgesamt sehr genossen und würden das Hotel grundsätzlich weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten eine Suite mit Meerblick in der 24. Etage – der Ausblick war einfach traumhaft und definitiv eines der Highlights unseres Aufenthalts. Das Zimmer war geräumig und in einem guten Zustand. Das Frühstück war hervorragend: eine riesige Auswahl an warmen und kalten Speisen, frischem Obst sowie vietnamesischen und internationalen Gerichten. Auch der Infinity-Pool ist sehr schön angelegt und bietet einen tollen Blick auf das Meer.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Küste. Allerdings trennt eine stark befahrene Straße das Hotel vom Meer, wodurch es dort tagsüber recht laut ist. Einen direkten Strandzugang gibt es daher nicht.

Etwas enttäuschend fanden wir die Regelung zum hoteleigenen Strandabschnitt, der etwa 1 km entfernt liegt. Die Liegen konnten nur nach vorheriger Buchung an der Rezeption für jeweils zwei Stunden kostenlos genutzt werden. Danach musste man entweder bezahlen oder den Platz wieder verlassen. Außerdem konnten freie Zeitfenster immer erst am jeweiligen Tag an der Rezeption erfragt werden, was die Planung etwas umständlich machte. Der Strand selbst ist sauber, breit und gepflegt, allerdings ist auch dort der Verkehr der direkt angrenzenden Straße deutlich zu hören.

Ein Punkt, der uns ebenfalls aufgefallen ist: Mehrere Mitarbeiter aus verschiedenen Hotelbereichen haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts gebeten, direkt vor Ort eine positive Bewertung auf verschiedenen Online-Portalen abzugeben. Nach unserem Eindruck geschah dies auf Anweisung ihrer Vorgesetzten. Wir haben Verständnis dafür, dass Hotels um Bewertungen werben, allerdings sollte dies aus unserer Sicht freiwillig und ohne wiederholte Aufforderungen geschehen, damit Bewertungen möglichst authentisch bleiben.

Trotz dieser Kritikpunkte hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt.

Ich war mit meiner Tochter für fünf Tage während unserer Erkundungsreise im Boton Blue Hotel. Zunächst das Positive: Die Zimmer sind wunderschön, der Meerblick ist atemberaubend und der Pool ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Reinigungskräfte und die Portiers, sie leisten wirklich gute Arbeit und sind freundlich.

Leider endet das Positive an dieser Stelle.

Die Rezeption und die Küche waren für uns eine große Enttäuschung. Da wir mehrfach den Zimmerservice genutzt haben, fiel uns schnell auf, dass die Speisekarte sehr überschaubar ist. Noch schlimmer war jedoch, dass die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption ihre eigenen Gerichte offenbar nicht kennen. Jedes Mal musste ich mehrere Telefonate führen und schließlich persönlich zur Rezeption gehen, um zu erklären, dass Spaghetti mit Sauce einfach Spaghetti mit Sauce sind und die Sauce bitte separat serviert werden soll. Dieses Theater wiederholte sich bei jeder Bestellung. Man bot mit Tiramisu (Kaffee +Alkohol) für mein Kind an.

Der gebratene Reis mit Meeresfrüchten war qualitativ sehr schlecht. Insgesamt sind die Preise im Hotel im Vergleich zu den Restaurants in der Umgebung deutlich höher, die Qualität des Essens jedoch wesentlich schlechter.

Auch bei Fragen zur Umgebung war die Rezeption keine Hilfe. Ich wollte Informationen über schöne Strände in der Nähe – stattdessen wurde einfach gegoogelt. Die Mitarbeiter kannten weder die Umgebung noch die eigenen Angebote des Hotels. Von einem Hotel dieser Kategorie erwarte ich deutlich mehr Kompetenz.

Das Frühstück war ebenfalls unerquicklich. Mehrfach wurde ausschließlich ich persönlich darauf hingewiesen, dass das Buffet gleich endet, obwohl noch viele andere Gäste dort saßen. Das war jedes Mal unangenehm.

Besonders belastend war eine Situation mit meiner achtjährigen Tochter. Sie wünschte sich ein Spiegelei ohne Eigelb – eigentlich keine außergewöhnliche Bitte. Daraus entstand jedoch eine endlose Diskussion. Ich wurde schließlich mit einer Handbewegung weggeschickt. Diese respektlose Behandlung war so verletzend, dass mir die Tränen kamen.

Für Kinder gibt es beim Frühstück nicht einmal Kakao oder frisches Obst als selbstverständliches Angebot.

The reception and welcome were pleasant. We appreciated the complimentary airport transfer as included in the room, which made our arrival smooth.

As this was the final stop of our Vietnam honeymoon and also our anniversary, we booked the European Suite. The welcome fruit platter and bottle of wine were a lovely touch. The following morning, the hotel surprised us with a honeymoon cake at breakfast, which was a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated.

The room was comfortable, with a beautiful sea view and a lovely hot tub. The bed was very comfortable, and apart from one noisy evening, the room was quiet and perfect for relaxing and clean.

The swim-up pool bar is a good feature to drink, and we enjoyed the hotel's restaurants' foods. The Asian restaurant was particularly excellent. Breakfast offered a good variety that was okey.

When we experienced an issue during our stay, the front desk team tried to handle it professionally and kindly last day, even arranging a car to airport for us. The night duty manager and the restaurant manager were especially helpful and professional. I could see that them and other staffs were working very long shifts, and despite that, they did their best to provide good service despite of some issues happened during our stay. Hiring less staffs are just low profile hotel management. You can see restaurant manager is working in the breakfast and dinner area as well.

Cons:

Although this is marketed as a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations. During our trip in Vietnam, we stayed at several 4-star hotels that offered way better overall experiences.

The hotel is around a 10–15 minute drive from most attractions, which may not suit everyone.

Restaurants are good but service is slow due to lack of staffs or attention.

First disappointment was the spa. As a former Spa Manager in a 5-star hotel in Malta, I noticed several areas that could be improved. There was no dedicated English-speaking receptionist to welcome guests, explain the treatments, or conduct a consultation. We were not asked about our preferred massage pressure or asked to complete a consultation form before the treatment. The therapists were kind but were not speaking English and seemed expected to manage reception duties as well, which made communication difficult. Our neck and head massage was enjoyable, but overall the treatment felt low average, with very little oil used. At the end, only one feedback form was provided for both of us instead of one each.

Around the pool, communication was also challenging because most staff spoke very limited English. The Sky Bar was usually very quiet, except for one evening when a loud Russian party continued late into the night 4, making it difficult to sleep. Russian party organizer was rude to me and to hotel night manager. He did not stop when he was supposed to end the party. We were not feeling well that night and we needed to sleep in silence. Reception should have informed about this party in advance.

The hotel was largely occupied by Russian tourists during our stay. While this is, of course, not the hotel's responsibility, it created a less social atmosphere than we expected. They dont even say hi or smile. The beach next to it looks very bad and small.

Overall, the property has potential, but in terms of service, organization, communication, and spa standards, it did not feel like a true 5-star experience.

Pros:

Nous avons appréciés la disponibilité et l'accueil du personnel, le manager a été très réactif et professionnel, nous le remercions pour sa gentillesse et sa convivialité, Minnie a été très courtoise et efficace pour la réservation du transfert. La petit déjeuner excellent, pas mal de choix, belle vue, le dîner très bien, le Spa nous avait fait beaucoup de bien. L'emplacement légèrement excentré donne un plus de calme, mais mois de bon restaurants. Dans l'ensemble je recommande cet établissement pour toutes ces prestations!

Cons:

Rien en particulier, peut-être un manque de transats à certaines heures, et un point quand même sur le Spa...trop d'enfants laissés seuls, ça saute dans les bassins et certains utilisent les bains chauds sans surveillance. Un accident est si vite arrivé, et sera dommageable!
