Plataran Bromo

Easy to access.. view best.. service excellent.. mr boris as gm handle plataran bromo very good.. the food is good.. the activities is good for kids.. we love campervan sunset and breakfast savana.. incredeable beautiful.. and we apreciate how plataran embrace nature, culture n community in bromo. we will definitely come back.. thx

1. 景色卓越。度假村占地面积很大，本身就是一个景点可以参观漫步。酒店还提供了45分钟的观光车，可以去酒店其它区域转转。
2.人性设计。我们预订的是三人家庭间，每个床之间有个卷帘设计，可以放下作为空间隔断，保留私密空间；每个床头有个小阅读灯，避免彼此干扰。还有两个插头，非常方便（多数酒店只有1个）；房间还有两件独立小空间，不仅可各自独立存放行李，还给每个人提供更衣、整理物品空间，避免摊在一地，尤其在一家人要统一时间出发卫生间有人使用时，几个独立空间可以同时发挥作用。这是我在其他任何酒店没见过的设计。此外，房间保暖很好，夜间的山间很重要。
3. 设计巧思。每栋别墅里既有公共空间（客厅、阳台），还有各自独立的房间，既适合小家庭出行，也适合团体活动。尤其是酒店营造了很多园林环境，非常适合举行小型家庭或团队活动后居住。此外酒店还有专门的动物养殖区，不一定有很多实用价值，但是确实给酒店增添了更多生机。同时酒店各种活动的举办既适合亲子、也适合情侣和家庭。还有一个拍日落的大平台。
4. 火山早餐。价格不便宜，但确实很有仪式感，而且这样的风景和经历未必会再有，如果觉得可以承受的，建议尝试。

Location, gardens and staff are all wonderful. It’s a magical place

Plataran Bromo is, without a doubt, the finest hotel in Bromo. Every experience here truly reflects the unique charm and beauty of the destination.

From the breathtaking scenery and relaxing afternoon tea to the trekking activities, the Bukit Tanggulangin excursion, and the thoughtfully organized kids' activities, everything was exceptionally well planned and beautifully executed. Every detail felt authentic to the Bromo experience, making our stay truly memorable.

While the price is certainly on the premium side, it is absolutely worth it for the quality of service and the unforgettable experiences offered.

What made our stay even more special was the genuine hospitality of the team. Boris gave us a warm welcome from the moment we arrived, making us feel at home immediately. Rasya was wonderful with our children during the trekking activity, ensuring they were safe, engaged, and thoroughly enjoyed the adventure. The Front Office team was also consistently friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile.

Everything about our stay was simply perfect. Plataran Bromo has created an experience that goes far beyond accommodation—it truly captures the spirit of Bromo. We are grateful to the entire team for making our family holiday so memorable, and we look forward to returning again in the future.

This was an extraordinary stay. I have traveled a lot and I did a ton of research and this exceeded our expectations. Boris and his team are incredible. Out room was amazing, afternoon tea was great, breakfast and dinner were all outstanding including our romantic dinner in the glass house. The plants and landscaping was top notch and the tour to Bromo of course was over the top good. If you’re looking for nightlife look elsewhere - if you want five star service, food and location next to the national park - you’re in the right place. Thank you to the whole staff who took such good care of us. So special:

Had a good experience of the hospitality at Plataran Bromo. Staff were warm and genuinely welcoming. Shelly was outstanding when showing around during orientation of the place and subsequently offering to take photos.
Few suggestions below:
1) Since it is also meant to be a family oriented resort, the various restaurants should cater some children meals in their menu.
2) The maintenance crew should try to check periodically to ensure fixtures are in top condition - Rm109 toilet seat cover has become loosened before our usage.
3) Lighting in toilet near mirror can be improved to facilitate better view of user face especially for women.

The location is nice with the only downside being that you have to go through many twists and turns on the already bumpy road to get here so if you're prone to car sickness get ready for the ride. The atmosphere is super cold and even all the staff inside wear jackets so that's a must. I stayed in the house resort at the top which was spacious with great views plus it was spotless. The room also had a smart tv with a free netflix account so that was nice. There are plenty of stairs leading to the room (depending on which one you got) so get ready for that. It's relatively quiet besides the occasional sounds of cars and bikes. I didn't try their other services like the spa, but if you're looking for a good place to spend the night before seeing Bromo then this is the place to go, if you have the money ofc since its quite pricey when compared to other hotels in Indonesia.

A gorgeous property with extra large hotel rooms and huge bath. Too bad it's on the main road as the scooters go by continually and sound carries. Comfy bed, inviting living room area with a welcome message written by hand on a large leaf and sweet treats on the table. The Hydrangeas at the entrance were colorful and full, the staff was efficient, the High Tea that was included with the room was a nice treat, as was the Happy Hour at the cocktail bar. However, only 2 wines were on the menu for happy hour, one red and one white. Not nearly enough choices since if one likes Chardonnay, a Pinot Grigio is far from satisfying.

Need more indonesian or chinese food in restaurant 3rd floor

Stayed here as a family of 3 (with a 7 year old) in the 1st week of June for 3 nights. It’s a beautiful property and the staff are kind. We intended to spend a day relaxing at the hotel and the next day visit broom but due to Vesak day broom was closed. So we spend 2 days at the hotel and visited bromo on our checkout day.
We met the hotel manager Boris and he is a great guy. Just like the staff very kind and helpful. Only thing the staff don’t understand or speak English very well but that wasn’t a big problem most of the time.
Loved the little cottage style rooms. 4 rooms on the ground level and 4 on the 1st level. Each level has a shared living room with a water filter. Loved how the hotel thought about the water filter, its being eco friendly.
The rooms itself is cozy and well maintained. The beds are super comfy and so are the pillows. Would love if they could allocate families with young children the cottage rooms next to the open garden, so kids can run about. We only realized after we checked in. They have a newer building with modern rooms but it spoils the charm of the hotel. The cottage rooms give a more holiday feeling and match the scenery.
Now for the improvements that can make the hotel perfect.
The rooms have no Aircon or fan. While it’s generally not needed as the weather is cool. At night the rooms can get stuffy due lack of air circulation. We then opened the balcony window for some cool breeze as we were sweaty at night due to no ventilation. Doing that was a mistake as we got bitten by mosquitoes. So we had to make a choice sleep in a stuffy room and sweat or open for cool breeze and get bitten by mosquitoes. Maybe they should think of putting nets on the balcony so the windows can be opened at night or just provide a fan.
As we had plenty of time because Bromo was closed. We decided to do the little farmer activity for my city born kid. The activity cost is actually quite steep but we still decided to proceed. That was the worst decision. The staff don’t speak English so they just gestured us to dig, plant and water, with zero information. We didn’t even know what we were planting until we asked. The activity was done in 20 min and then they told us there is a cooking class next. Now we didn’t want the cooking class. We wanted to learn about farming, which we didn’t because no one shared any knowledge with us. I do not recommend this activity to anyone considering is so expensive and you don’t learn anything. I think the hotel should rethink their activities and their pricing.
Now for the carnival playground, there is no staff to help turn on the rides even during designated hours. We had to go and ask the receptionist for help. Also, 2 rides were not working.
As for the animal feeding, the staff have no clue of the timing. There is no staff to help when you go there during the day. Again, we have to walk back to the reception and ask them to send staff. There were supposed to be 4 rabbits. But in the rabbit room there are only 2 when we asked the staff where are the other 2 they said near the campground but no rabbits were there. We then found the other 2 rabbits when we hiked up the hill opposite the hotel. I hope the staff have not forgotten about them.
We had 2 free horse ride from our booking. We asked the staff that we would like to ride them at 1pm after lunch. They agreed, when we showed up at 1pm no one was there and no one had a clue. Finally they made us wait for an hour and the horses showed up at 2pm.
As for the restaurant, there are 2 on the property. Both have a limited menu and some of the items are out of stock. So if you stay longer than a night you are going to get bored of their food as there is no variety and nothing nearby.
We booked the bromo jeep tour from the hotel and it’s expensive. We were hoping for some information from the jeep driver but as usual we were given silent treatment. We had to ask questions. For the price paid the experience was not worth it as we had no information on bromo.
The hotel is definitely beautiful but the rooms face the road so you can hear constant loud scooter/car sounds and it’s extremely loud (even at night). This spoils the serenity the hotel promises to give. Thus losing its charm
The hotel definitely has potential but maintaining the beautiful grounds is not enough. The finer details for the guests need to be looked at too. A lot of improvement needed. Especially if they want to charge such high prices for rooms and activities. While I do recommend people to stay here. Bring your personal fan and earplugs. Don’t stay more than a night as the hotel is not equipped to handle long staying guests,don’t do any paid activities and lower your expectations a bit.
We didn’t have a car and hired a driver to get us there and pick us up. I think the hotel also helps with car pickup but it’s expensive

The resort is very large, beautifully designed, and well maintained, with many areas to explore. The service was excellent — honestly, I felt it was on par with some luxury resorts in Bali that cost nearly $1,000 per night. However, the room itself, along with the in-room facilities, was really quite ordinary and small. There was a big contrast between the room and the beautiful resort grounds and excellent service. Perhaps that was because we booked a more affordable room category.

I still give it five stars because of one warm little detail. While we were dining at the restaurant, my mom was slightly overwhelmed by the spiciness of one dish and made a “ha” sound. She was not complaining at all, but a staff member still came over with concern and asked what had happened, and whether we would like the dish replaced. We smiled and said it was fine, just a little spicy. A while later, the staff member brought us some fruit and drinks, saying they could help ease the spiciness. The service was truly amazing!

The food only came 2 hours later, the pasta is not only apetizing, looks poorly made, so bad, no oil on it, using canned tuna, doesn't say it's canned just tuna, bread was soggy like it was waiting in a cold fridge and just microwaved, the staff look so bored and not caring

A unique and memorable experience at Plataran Bromo! The resort is set high above the clouds with incredible views of sunset. A great base before doing a 4ww trip to Bromo sunrise. Lots of activities on site to keep everyone busy and occupied - can definitely stay here a full day and enjoy all that there is to offer. Service was very friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Anches, Cindy and Nurul for putting extra care into our trip.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely consider coming back despite a few hiccups.

The property itself is beautiful. It’s spacious, surrounded by lush, well-maintained plants, and the misty forest creates a truly unique and peaceful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We also really liked the common areas, especially the shared living room, which was beautifully designed and equipped with a large TV where guests can watch Netflix and relax.
