Everything’s was wonderful staying at Plataran Bromo , The room very nice and staff very humble and friendly
We didn’t plan this stay much, just a random TikTok find that somehow led us here (searched for resorts in Bromo). But it turned out to be more than just a place to stay, it felt like an experience in itself. There’s something incredibly calming about it. Maybe it’s the cool mountain air, the way the resort sits quietly above the clouds, or simply the people who make you feel so welcomed from the moment you arrive. Every corner feels intentional, with a timeless design that gently takes you back, while the views stretch endlessly across Mount Bromo and the surrounding highlands. At times, it almost felt like we were somewhere in the Swiss Alps, except this is East Java, home to one of the most iconic volcanic landscapes in the world, within the vast Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
It’s quiet here, slower, a little removed from everything else, and that’s what makes it so special. You find yourself pausing more, noticing more, feeling more. The kind of place where the clouds roll in like a soft blanket and the day fades gently into the horizon. We came here by chance, but somehow it felt like exactly where we were meant to be. Some places you visit, and some places stay with you. This one, we’ll carry with us for a long time.
My stay at Plataran Bromo exceeded all expectations. Coming from someone who lives in the region, I was genuinely impressed by how perfect the weather was in April — cooling aircon weather, fresh, and incredibly refreshing. Felt like I’m in Europe during spring/autumn and this climate made every moment outdoors even more enjoyable.
What truly sets this stay apart is how thoughtfully curated the experiences are. The Tengger cultural experience was quite a highlight for me, insightful, authentic, and beautifully presented, giving a deeper appreciation of the heritage and traditions of the area.
The picnic breakfast at the savanna was another standout. Dining in a vast open area surrounded by nature after the iconic Bromo sunrise trekking, with that kind of weather, felt surreal. Simple yet incredibly memorable. Highly recommend the spa after the trekking morning. And to end the day, the campervan dinner was such a unique touch — intimate, cozy, and perfectly executed under the stars.
Overall, this is more than just a stay. it’s a well-rounded experience that blends nature, culture, and comfort seamlessly. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Bromo and want something beyond sightseeing.

I had an amazing time here at Plataran Bromo. Not only is the staff really nice but also the activities are really engaging:
- seeing sunrise in Mount Bromo
- having breakfast in Savannah
- feeding horses and sheep at the resort
- learning about local tengger people
- and also eating good food made by their chefs
I highly recommend for people to visit and experience the beauty of Plataran Bromo and enjoy the nature around it.
Have the best nights staying here. Staffs are so friendly and attentive (as always with all other Plataran locations), and there are so many fun activities here.
