The staff was exceptionally friendly. Made all the difference. Also best location possible for the ferry to the Isle of Arran.
The decor was tired and the windows were difficult to open and close. I had a room for disabled people that didn’t look that welcoming. The neighbourhood didn’t feel that safe.

Room small and tight. Very warm and window difficult to reach.
Breakfast was extra. The hotel required upgrading and out room had only a high level window. Just felt a little run down. The sheets were clean oh and the shower would not go to hot. We were only there for 1 night so did not complain, just left in the morning.
The hotel is in a great location, close to the beach and harbour. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. The staff were very friendly, there was an excellent choice for breakfast and there is a really good traditional bar.
The staff were great friendly and considerate . The meals were excellent the breakfast was beautiful.
The hotel needs updating and they are already doing this rooms need updating but was comfortable.

Room was not good. They called thricee for arrival. That was so irritating.
We ask for drinking water she said it is available in room but therr was no water at all.
Excellent location, good selection breakfast menu. Meals were fantastic, staff were friendly and just couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay comfortable. Very large spacious rooms, with sea view. Unlimited bottled water. We will certainly be back.
Stairs to first floor rooms, staff helped with suitcases, so not an issue with us, no lift if mobility is an issue.

Charming place to stay
Small hotel, so I new what to expect. Friendly staff. Could do with modernisation, but it all adds to the charm. Twin room was small but clean. All we needed for our short stay. Prices were reasonable, and the food was great. The young lady behind the bar at night, and for the breakfast could not have been friendlier. Breakfast was made to order and was really nice, unlike large chain hotels where you get what is there at the time. Would strongly recommend.

I like this cause near the beach and the shops
It was a traditional feel a little tired and needs a good clean in bar area but room was very nice and bright
Just a little bit tired but believe it is going to be refreshed as new owners
it was comfortable and felt very homely it was a lovely stay and was extremely relaxing.
