Me and my husband stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very efficient and swiftly sorted the room for us which had living room and bedroom with everything required.
The decor and furniture, needs some TLC.Car park is plus point even though it's first serve first come. The location is amazing everything nearby specially the bus and ferry service including so many restaurants.
We had wonderful stay would recommend this hotel.
The hotel decor and out dated furniture.
Friendly staff comfortable bed
Quite dated hotel but couldn’t open the windows
Good location
Good location great value for money
Pillows could be more comfy
The room was lovely with a nice aspect.
Small problem with the room key but quickly sorted. Lack of PowerPoint near the bed, plenty in the room just not near the bed.
Free parking was exceptionally the most important aspect of our journey that had been an absolute god send.
Breakfast had not been served had to purchase was the only thing not included downside as booked from Booking.com otherwise if booked with Yelf’s Hotel breakfast would’ve been included with the price paid?
Central location in Ryde for everything I wanted to be close to for my stay. Easy 20 minutes walk to the pier head for the ferry. Rooms were a great size with all mod cons provided! Especially helpful in the heatwave was the provided fan.
The pillows were the thinnest things known to man! Being on the road to the. Ferry means slightly more noise but it was surprisingly quiet compared to a few places I've stayed.
Friendly, helpful
There was nothing not too like.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. I just felt very relaxed . The location is perfect if you arrive by hovercraft . The water was hot and plentiful and the bed was clean and comfortable.
It was difficult to find a usb port anywhere as I’d forgotten my plug + I had to borrow a plug from the pub next door.
It’s advertised as having a restaurant but that was closed all the time and you have to go to the pub next door for breakfast. But you can have coffee and cake and there’s also a bar.
Location for both the FastCat transfer and Festival shuttle bus was excellent. Also surrounded by lots of places to eat, shop and walk and very close to the sea! The building and decor was a bit tired but not to the detriment of our stay! The staff were always friendly & very helpful and there was a nice vibe to the whole place - great beer garden too!
Not enough power sockets in the room although fortunately my friend had brought an extension lead! No hairdryer which was a surprise! Strange “low down & high up” layout…the tv and mirrors were all very low down and the bathroom especially the WC were higher than the bedroom…very quirky but again not detrimental to our stay!
Nothing
Room wasn't in main hotel it was across main road opposite hotel and a old building below a ladbrooks betting shop. Noise and dirty.
This old hotel is a legend in our e house defying all attempts at modernization or change . It’s not any better on this visit . The teenage staff mostly with some old hands are Loverly . Mostly not around but really nice bunch . The room was huge with badly decrepit windows one of which I managed to open as it was 30 degrees. The fan I was given was a tiny office fan which did nothing . No AC No lift . .i never have breakfast there.
See above
It was very nice for a 2 hundred year old property the rooms were very clean and spacious we had a little problem and the management went above and beyond to sort it out . I would definitely stay there again
I liked everything about the property
Location, staff pleasant. Fan in room.
Attic room 3 flights stairs no lift. One blind
broken on rooflights
Great location, plenty of bars, shops and restaurants on the door step. Lovely lady on reception let us check in a bit earlier, a nice young man took our luggage to the room and we got a fan for the room as it was so hot. The room has everything you could need tea/coffee and a selection of biscuits. Toiletries in the bathroom.
Lovely large bath sheets. Bed and pillows were comfortable.
