Location was ideal, close to town, bus stops and restaurants
A bit on the older style, maybe a redecorating at some time soon. Staff helpful but not always easy to find.
Large family room with a TV containing streaming apps (if you sign in your own account)
Unclean, stains on the walls, floors, radiators, awful parking, really run down, desperate need of a refurb, very cheap with a too large price tag.
Location
One window screwed shut other window hard to open and close, and extremely thin blind, for safety we were unable to leave window open as it was close to a fire exit door, which was propped open.
Towels not changed, carpet filthy
Nice large room. Friendly staff.
No lift. No safe in room.
Location, friendly and helpful staff!
Needs updating
The receptionist was not rude, but certainly not friendly, didn't use my name or welcome me to the hotel.
I was not offered any information about dinner or breakfast.
Room was in the attic, Not full height door into the attic and pokey corridors leading to it.
The hotel decor' itself was not bad, not good either but adequate. However as you ascended the quality of the decor' descended
Roof was unbearably hot.
Only ventilation was a large sky light which was shut to keep the hot air out and had an inadequate blind to screen out the sun. A small fan was on circulating the hot air.
Even when the sun left the roof and the window could be opened there was no air due to a parapet wall immediately outside the window.
When I returned my key to leave I was immediately offered an alternative room but by then I had already decided to leave.
If they knew the room was going to be impossible to use and had a room available which might have been better, why was I not offered it when I arrived?
Really good the staff were very friendly
The room could do with painting as the walls were a bit dirty but apart from that it was okay upgrading the shower as it was very weak
The location was good. There were too many stairs and NO lifts, not good when you have a bad leg. The room was basic. They say you get what you pay for, but what they charge for that, was very expensive. I doubt very much if I'll go there again. I never saw or heard a hoover. My room Never got hoovered once in the 12 days that I stayed there 😒 not good enough.
Everything
Staff were nice, and the location was good.
I was staying in mostly budget hotels while walking the coastal path. All I needed was a clean comfy bed, a shower, and a good night sleep: I had none. Room 59 in the hotel over the road. The bathroom was dirty, the sink was cracked and the shower wouldn't stay up high enough to get under. Also there was a water heater that seemed to serve another room. The twin beds were pushed together and different heights. Both of them were so lumpy with springs sticking up all over the place the only way I could get comfortable was to pile up the duvet and all of the pillows. Couldn't open any windows as the car park was directly outside. The hotel was noisy with banging and squeaking floorboards on the floor above.
Location and cleanliness
Property does need cosmetic updating
Good central location
The parking was stressful. I had to squeeze into a spot next to a dumped van and climb out of the passenger door to get a place. Seems that non-hotel ppeople were using the car park; later in the night when they had gone I moved to a proper space. There were two derelict cars in the car park?
The hotel is close to No64 breakfast cafe and Ryde beach
Once I finally got to my hotel room, I understood why there was no pictures of the rooms posted on the app, the place is run down and filthy. A bunch of hair in my bed when I first pulled back the sheets, my bedding had black marks on it, the carpet was blue but stained brown, the desk chair had a huge gum stuck to it.
Thank goodness I only had one night book or I would of cried and travelled 6 hours back home without a doubt
Very excellent 😊
