Avoid at all costs
Pros:

The location is very good but that is the only positive I could add.

Cons:

Its a dated, dirty and unsafe hotel, We were locked in our room with locksmith required to escape, The manager is misogynistic, aggressive and does not take well to criticism, photos are out of date.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, but it will definitely be my last.
​We arrived before the official check-in time, and a gentleman kindly accepted our luggage for storage. Since our room wasn't ready yet, we went out to explore the city.
​When we returned in the evening, we couldn't even get into the hotel—the door was completely locked, and there was no one in sight. To make matters worse, the emergency hotline went unanswered. Even though the reception's designated closing time was 11:30 PM, we had arrived before 10:00 PM.
​We managed to get inside the building only because another guest let us in, but we had no room key and no access to our stored luggage. My Dutch friend kept calling until they finally reached the hotel staff. Eventually, the gentleman who had helped us earlier that afternoon arrived at the hotel, visibly upset about the situation. He created our room key card and retrieved our bags. It turned out the person who was actually supposed to be on duty at the reception could not be reached, leaving us stranded and waiting anxiously for about an hour.
​We were extremely disappointed by this experience, and I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

Ubicación excelente y muy buen trato. Un hotel clásico que resultó una grata sorpresa. La zona es inmejorable y la vista al canal es impagable. Los desayunos muy recomendables.

Esperienza estremamente negativa. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato condizioni igieniche decisamente inaccettabili: sporco diffuso, numerose macchie e aloni su divano, sedie e altre superfici, oltre a residui di sporcizia evidenti su tavolo, termosifone e cestino. A rendere la situazione ancora peggiore c’era un costante cattivo odore di fogna in sala e cucina proveniente dalle tubature e un nauseante odore di urina dalla moquette sulle scale, che i proprietari hanno inutilmente tentato di coprire con profumatori per ambiente.

La reception era chiusa la notte al nostro arrivo e nonostante abbiamo provato a contattare i proprietari non abbiamo avuto alcuna risposta. Abbiamo quindi documentato le condizioni con numerose foto e video e segnalato il problema a Booking subito dopo il check-in. Purtroppo, anche a causa dei tempi di gestione della segnalazione, non siamo riusciti a cambiare struttura e abbiamo dovuto completare il soggiorno controvoglia.

Ciò che trovo particolarmente grave è che, una volta aperta formalmente la disputa tramite Booking, la struttura non si sia presa carico delle criticità evidenziate, nonostante fossero concrete e ampiamente documentate. A maggior ragione considerando la cospicua spesa per notte affrontata.
