The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. We appreciated being able to store our bikes inside the hotel.
The hotel is let down by its food. The breakfast buffet options are very limited and the cooked items are pre-cooked hanging around in warming trays. The evening menu is quite small and it is difficult to get anything really healthy to eat. The hotel website gives the impression that the food is much better than this. The coffee lounge described on the website is non-existent.
Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for me even though they were very busy, would use again
No complaints
The location was great.
Sleepy and tired staff struggled to handle food orders. Travelodge comfort for double the price.
Very little.
Almost everything, the staff were complete amateurs and the food service was extremely slow.
Gratis parkering rett utenfor hotellet. God mat.
Litt harde senger, slitt hotell med slitte rom. Trenger en oppussing.
Good location. Comfortable.
Housekeeping did not clean the room as requested. Bed not remade, soiled towel not replaced as requested. Cups cleaned & milk portions replaced, nothing else.
Breakfast on the second day ruined by a very loud mouthed chef who constantly spoke to diningroom staff about various aspects of his life. Shocking!
The location is great for exploring the north and islands
Some staff friendly and helpful
Some staffing issues
Limited dinner choices and coach party gets preferred treatment and other guests have to fit in around
Bathroom very tired and we were in a superior room
Good location for exploring the Shetland Islands. The morning receptionist on the last three mornings was really helpful. Also there is an EV charger, which although slow, as a guest does make life easier, unless of course a UPS vans park in the marked bay!
Rooms are in need of updating. Felt like the Crossroads Motel. Mixer tap shower was almost impossible to get temperature right; we were scalded or frozen! We had the impression the hotel was dog friendly; it was not even dog tolerant. We were only allowed to eat breakfast in the reception. In terms of dinner, it had to be in their Northern Lights bar, which is full of locals (who were generally really nice) but just wasn’t a relaxing place to eat. At £150 per
night B&B you would at least expect a bottle of water and glasses, not tap water and plastic cups which weren’t changed for the 4 nights we stayed.
Breakfast was great
Evening food could have had more variety
Central location for our roadtrip
Clean and tidy
Comfortable beds
Hot shower
Dog friendly
Car parking available
24 hr fuel pump next door
Somewhat chaotic short staffing issues
at times which caused a few dining issues.
Staff were very helpful and did their best to appease some grumpy guests, who were rude to the hotel staff which I found unacceptable.
Hyggelig betjening
Gammelt hotell som kunne trengt litt oppussing
They were very helpful as i have not long become a vegan for health reasons and helped me with food availability
