The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was very dog friendly.
Perfect location for exploring north mainland.
Food was good with decent vegetarian evening meals.
Good to have a bath after a day’s walking.
For me the continental breakfast was very disappointing and vegetarian cooked was just the meat version without the meat.
Tea tray and decor could reflect Shetland more.
Loud music from the open kitchen in the morning was very irritating but there was a quieter place to eat in the foyer.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Brae. The location is beautiful — right across from the water, with grocery shops and restaurants just a short walk away, which made it easy to settle in without needing a car for every errand. Working Wifi, clean, spacious room, and a bathtub!
The manager really made the experience special. He went out of their way to accommodate a late checkout for us, and took the time to chat about some great photography spots in the area.

A pleasant 3* island hotel. Very helpful staff. Good location with very short walk into the town. Food was OK for us vegetarians. (As good as one expects on the islands). I would happily return another time.
Our dog absolutely loved the place. (She is actually quite fussy)
Vegetarian food might have been more nutritious. But not a problem at all for a couple of nights.

Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable.
Food was poor , there was a big tour group in one night and we were in a back room with no window for evening meal and breakfast . Nobody physically on reception all the time . The fire alarm went off at 11pm one night - nobody seemed to be in reception- another guest told us there had been a smoke machine in the bar next door that had set off the alarm . Domestic staff in the mornings propped the fire doors open .

We misten de stapelbedden en het ochtendappèl. De kok was onverwacht ziek (ik weet niet hoe je verwacht ziek kunt zijn, maar oke) dus het ontbijt bestand uit ingekochte zoete yoghurt en excuses. Foto's op Booking.com komen niet overeen met de werkelijkheid.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. We appreciated being able to store our bikes inside the hotel.
The hotel is let down by its food. The breakfast buffet options are very limited and the cooked items are pre-cooked hanging around in warming trays. The evening menu is quite small and it is difficult to get anything really healthy to eat. The hotel website gives the impression that the food is much better than this. The coffee lounge described on the website is non-existent.
Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for me even though they were very busy, would use again
