In particular the food was beyond our expectations for a small English village. The staff were
fabulous, very friendly and at the same time professional. Even though we overslept the time for breakfast they went out of their way to cater for us. .
We were there during a heat wave so a larger fan in the bedroom would have been nice. The cover on the fan also prevented much air flow.
Olde world exactly what we wanted
.
Vlakbij the old Abbey.
Nice meal, quiet room, and friendly atmosphere in the bar.
Shower could do with a curtain and water pressure was slightly low
Delightful olde worlde establishment, complete with well in reception, splendid dining room and good breakfast
It's getting a bit run down in places with frayed paintwork, and no loo brush
Very helpful staff, comfortable room with bath and shower over
Colazione
They resolved all our issues with good grace !
A couple of big mistakes were made ie the wrong room was allocated on arrival and the starter arrived after the main meal but it was resolved promptly and to our satisfaction....well done and thank you !
Historic coaching inn in lovely village. Quirky layouts to rooms and public spaces.
Nothing
Adequate. Limited choice of cereals and coffee could have been better.
Advice on the closing time of the kitchen when we expected to have something to eat. We assumed that 7.30 on Sunday evening it would still be open when we booked on arrival. Nothing was said.
Very nice hotel in an ideal location for our boating weekend on the Thames.
Nothing major although our room (the Dorchester) was quite cold when we arrived. This was easily rectified when we turned on the radiators.
We were attending a party at the Crazy Bear Stadhampton and were looking for a dog friendly hotel close by to stay overnight and we came across the White Hart Hotel, Dorchester. We at the arrived pretty picturesque village and entered the equally attractive looking Hotel with loads of curb appeal. A period property oozing charm with a natural well in the reception area and 4 big jars of dodgy treats for your pooch. The welcome was warm, friendly and efficient. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable with all amenities. The public areas have a modern, yet rustic touch a lovely restaurant, bar and lounge all very welcoming. After a very good nights sleep we had a great a la carte breakfast , all local produce. All the team led by GM Sean Harris were very, very friendly and professional. I would definitely return and recommend it as a great bolt hole for visiting the area. I forgot to mention the value for money is amazing and they do a special extended weekend offer.
Old fashioned pub, friendly staff, good food and handy location.
