Plenty of assistance with staff. Comfortable bed and tub. Pleasing TV size
Pros:

Breakfast was pleasant and hot. Waffles where any size. The location was good but under construction it would have been fair to notify guest by text or call email about the situation.

Cons:

Just letting I no your guest know of construction.

Pretty good overall but could have been better.
Pros:

The room was spacious, good WiFi, great proximity to restaurants and shopping.

Cons:

Had to make sure to pull the door completely shut. Our room was right by the laundry and vending machines so it was a little noisy. The bed and sofa bed were not comfortable and there were no linens for the sofa bed.

The exceptional staff took care of our every need. . They were kind and professional. The rooms were extremely clean and decorated with style and comfort. . I also loved the breakfast each of the 3 mornings . We will choose Hotel Genpool" again in the future

Cons:

The internet drops when in your room. If you want to spend all your time in the lobby, it works fine. The front desk person was no help with this issue. Because we had rain that evening, I wanted to be fair and checked the connection at 5:30 am. I had the same issue. When you pay for internet, you expect to be able to use it in your room.
My other issue was being told at check in they needed a copy of my card for "incidentals". When asked if it was instead a "damage deposit", I was told no, it was kept on file for incidentals. The staff needs to be educated. There are no incidentals available. It's not like there's a mini bar in the refrigerator. I understand the need for a damage deposit to protect the hotel from damage or smoking in the room. I felt like I was being lied to by telling me it was for something it wasn't. The next morning I asked the desk attendant if and when my card would be deleted from their files...hotels get hacked all the time. I was told after I checked out and no damage was reported, my information would be deleted from their file. I hope that's true, because that's the way it should work. Guests information security should be a top priority just like being able to access internet from your room.
If not for these 2 issues, my rating would have been much higher. I hope the general manager/owner reads and addresses these issues.

Good enough for the price
Pros:

Breakfast had a waffle maker. Room had a fridge and microwave. Seemed pretty clean.

Cons:

Breakfast didn't really have not much besides the waffle maker. Yogurt, muffins, toast. Coffee was super watery. Early check in costs extra.
