Pros:

Rooms were large and offered space to chill out, and like a lot of accommodation in Taiwan, each floor has a hot/cold water dispenser.
The location is close by to the main bus station area and between both 7-11s, with one of them being open 24/7.

Cons:

The rooms at the front of the property have bathrooms facing the street so you might want to consider showering with the blinds down which is a bit weird.

There's no laundry on site but there the staff member showed us that a coin operated laundry is about 200m away.

Pros:

The host is very riendly, communicative, and helpful. Nice smell of the tea room reaches even to the upper floors. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet.
We had nice breakfast delivered in a basket to the room. Each day different :)
We had also dinners included and they were arranged in local restaurants, so we could try various types of food. It is very convenient location, close to bus station, boat pier, and amenities.

Good location, friendly and very helpful host, room was amazing, bed was bet comfortable and we got a free upgrade on the room. Would recommend to anyone visiting Sun & Moon Lake.

Great location near Sun Moon Lake.
Pros:

Excellent location. Close to bus stop, lake, bike rental and restaurants. Water dispenser in corridor was very welcome. The owner was extremely helpful.

Cons:

A little expensive but maybe that’s typical of the area.

Spent a day and night at this B&B to explore Sun Moon Lake. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Very nice guesthouse, but ask about the sewer smell before booking. If it’s fixed I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
Pros:

This property would’ve easily been a 10/10, if not for one thing: the smell of the bathroom. We were in the family room just behind the secret bookcase door next to reception (which was cool). The owner/manager Wendy was truly amazing: always smiling and helpful and so friendly. She helped us organize bike rentals, boat tickets, and plan the few days we had at the lake. The mattresses rested on the floor and were comfortable, the ACs worked great, the place was super clean. The shower was hot and water pressure was great. We had daily tea and cookies stocked in the common area to make each morning.

Cons:

The only bathroom, on the top floor and unfortunately sharing a space with the only common seating area, smelled like a sewer most of the time, making it very difficult for us to hang out there. Also, there aren’t any windows in the unit so we couldn’t open them to air it out using a draft. Wendy tried to fix the smell, but it probably isn’t fixable, as it appears to be related to the old pipes in an old building in an old neighborhood—even the street outside seemed to smell like sewer more than other areas around the lake.
