Ok but won’t stay again the place was up for sale and we wasn’t told this they should have said

The room was ok nice, but we wasn’t told that the hotel was completely closed, and it’s was basically just the room, although the room was nice. It’s a shame as this could have certainly got a better review. We should have been informed this was just a room stay experience that the place was up for sale. So disappointing!

Cons:

The room was alright and very vintage which is nice but with everything else around closed and not being told this put such a downer on our stay as it’s was a wedding anniversary and was hoping to have had a meal in the restaurant and get that full experience but we didn’t we wouldn’t stay again sorry

piss stained mattress protector, cover in blood and hair to the mattress dirty used tissues under bed GROSS. Electric extentions under bed feeding electric heater FIRE HAZZARD. Low water pressure 1 flush loo. 2 sheet of roll. Shower no pressure, building has water problems for sure. And sorry dirty room 11 the family suit. Comments from other reviewers about ceiling noise, yes confirmed I was tip toeing across the floor and was making a noise, zero sound proofing.
In a very state of repair, wont be back any time soon. Only comms with NO teams on site is via text messaging not good enough

Previously warned - no bar & no restaurant - no food
Inadequate complimentary drinks tray - no sugar, not enough milk for only one coffee.Noisy guests upstairs - unexpected. Only stayed one out of three booked nights... appalled & won't be recommending.
Cobwebs all over lights, spiders in the shower.

The building itself is very beautiful. Lots of character, in our room as well. Very nice. My only note is that a hairdry

Pros:

Large rooms, location, free parking, comfortable bed and spacious toilet

Cons:

No wifi (was marked as free) and when contacted the reception they did not resolve the issue. Also, there is no resturant on site.

Dont bother until it has been modernised and facilities are back up and running
Pros:

Looks like property has been sold but still renting rooms out but no facilities. Didnt meet or see any staff. Grounds unkempt and all in need of modernisation
