Comfortable accommodation in a beautiful, interesting little town.
Pros:

Accomodation was very comfortable, it’s close to the town centre but quiet and I slept well.
Shower is over bath but good pressure. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is made to order and uses good quality ingredients.
Tetbury itself is a charming little historic town, close to Westonbirt Arboretum which is definitely worth a visit.

Cons:

The only downside was the neighbour directly above who walked on wooden floorboards in what sounded like high heals. Luckily, they slept quite early so didn’t keep us awake.

Never again!
Pros:

The location

Cons:

The noise in the room above was unbearable. There is no soundproofing between the wooden floor and ceiling above the room we stayed in. We booked the deluxe garden room not realising that the outside pub tables were directly outside our room, this meant we had to listen to entire conversations. This only lasted until 23.00 and the pub closed. The room was oppressive and hot. The light switches worked randomly. The member of staff serving breakfast smoked a cigarette outside the door to the dining area and came back in and carried out her duties without handwashing after smoking (this is a food safety issue as hand to mouth can cause cross contamination of staphylococcus bacteria). We saw the inside of the kitchen as the door was open to the street, there were chains in place to deter flying insects entering, however the step and pavement outside looked like an oil slick had run out of the kitchen. This wasn’t the most inviting approach to the hotel. Our fellow guests managed to get a room at very late notice and moved out due to the noise.

Ideal for short term stay.
Pros:

Location was perfect for a planned tour to highgrove. Building was very charming with great character.

Cons:

Room was very airless and dimly lit. needs a ceiling fan or air conditioner. No ventilation made sleeping uncomfortable.

Splendid Chill Zone - The Royal Oak is perfect for a long w/end in the Cotswolds.
Pros:

Tetbury is a town and civil parish inside the Cotswold district Gloucestershire, England. It lies on the site of an ancient hill fort on which an Anglo-Saxon monastery was founded - probably by Ine of Wessex, in 681. The Royal Oak is a charming and friendly free house dating from the late 18th century having been restored back undergoing extensive restoration. There's a classic saloon bar with upcycled furnishings, cosy booths, a beautiful Art Deco piano and a vintage jukebox. Stylish dining as well as private dining for gatherings and celebrations can be enjoyed in the restaurant in the rafters.
Having six en suite rooms the Royal Oak is a fun and relaxed getaway from which to browse the chic boutiques of Tetbury or explore the beautiful Cotswolds. Ample patrons’ parking is available immediately to the rear of the pub on Herd Lane. Tetbury’s free long stay car park is also located a minute’s walk away next to the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre. Room 6 is perfect for a long w/end Double with mezzanine and french windows opening out over the garden and terrace. All Royal Oak Personnel were very polite, friendly, attentive and efficient. The dining experience was splendid both dinner and breakfast.

Cons:

What was not to like!! Possibly the addition of a small fridge was be a bonus particularly for the extremely hot summer season.
